trident_down.js, line 437
Code: Select all
mission.setInstructionsKey("trident_down_raceedat_squadron")
should be "trident_down_raceedatsquadron"
It results in this in the log file:
[script.missionDescription.noMissionText]: ***** ERROR: in <anonymous actions>, no mission text set for key 'trident_down_raceedat_squadron' [UNIVERSE missiontext] is:
and then follows
all the text from
every oxp!
Edit: Question! Are we supposed to have to annihilate all 5 of the Bellatrix bombers? Because in trident-down-bellatrix.js that is only required for one of the scenarios: "DEFENDRACEEDAT2". For the other two, "DEFENDIMPERATORDEAD" and "ESWBRIEFB", only killing
one is needed! If indeed we
do have to kill all of them, then the "}" on line 21 should be moved to line 33.
Also, in scenario "ESWBRIEFB", I can't work out what the point of the imperator is at all...
On the plus side, your fix to the Raceedat station worked perfectly!

Yeah, looks like the close bracket on line 21 should be down at around line 33.
I had to remind myself what the plot was for the ESWBRIEFB scenario: in this case the priority is to put a stop to the ATU's attack while still trying to remain neutral. So, you only need to destroy the bombers and you don't have to take out the Imperator, although you can still do so if you want. In other scenarios the Imperator's a more critical target.

Finally got around to finishing off this mission - I've been somewhat distracted of late...
One last error in the trident-down.js script in line 583:
Code: Select all
mission.runScreen({messageKey: "trident_down_freedommedal", background: "medaltest.png", choicesKey: "trident_down_cont"}, function(choice)
"medaltest.png" doesn't exist and should be "freedommedal.png"
Apart from that, I haven't noticed any other errors along the path that I chose (the intervention route). At some point when I swing round to this galaxy again I'll probably have a bash at doing one of the other routes, but for now, I'm moving onto Deposed.
Thanks for all the fun!

You could always make a copy of your current save game - hack it a bit to put you in G4 (if all you want to do is play with the OXP for a bit)

Strangely enough I had an issue the other day where the zip file refused to extract on a PC. Possibly the file got corrupted along the way. I've re-uploaded v2.0.3 and you should be able to extract it now.

Agreed, indeed there seem to be many. Another unpredictable 'feature' of being hacked.
Edit:- Look, it's even prompted an effort from me.

First, I enjoy your OXPs very much.
Second, exactly what is security on the Trident Down zip file? I don't find it on any of your other OXPs, but this one gives errors (Cannot find the path specified) when I attempt to extract it, and when I finally do drag it out (don't ask me how, I'm having to figure to out again for the update), I get an interesting green color for the file name.
I know that this isn't a fault of my download, it has happened too many times with this specific OXP and only this specific OXP. Is anyone else encountering this? Is there a reason for this to happen to this specific OXP over the others, or is this something that either hasn't been mentioned, is unfixable, or is more trouble than it's worth to fix?
Thanks.
(doing my quarterly update of Oolite and possibly overreacting to the frustration involved)
