I'd be happy to volunteer as a play-tester. My combat skills are pathetic but I suppose that I can always load-up with artificial aids, protheses and other bionic bits.

Not to worry, I have in mind a thinking man's mission, no superhero stuff required. :D You shall be in the loop if so desired.

A thinking man's mission? Splendid idea!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Thank you. It does depend somewhat on my methods of affecting a bit more sophisticated changes to the universe other than blasting and scooping. –And if what I'm thinking of can satisfy the thinking man.

It's what we'd have wanted for the HIMSN missions. Along with the combat, something to get the player thinking.

It feels like a nice ambition. I shall be in the thinking box.

Pretty close to the basic platform of the Iron (rusty) Ass tribute to the Missionaries.OXP (before any potential layers of the mission I wish I could write, you understand). The one sect that's added to the original material gives me some amusement. Cut-up word machines are fun.

I am of course very open to contributions for spiritual broadcasts to add. In addition to this misspelling bunch of zealot robots, there are the benign devotees of Giles the Creator, All-Seeing-Eye (not happy) preachers, Zenarchy Monks and Witchspace Lobster worshippers.

Any fun stuff (adjectives, names for friends and enemies, pleas and preachings) comes to mind, please share.

Well, if another entire spiritual path is to be added, they would need a particular system of belief and MO, a stereotypical form of speech, and something that unites them in terms of ship, a symbol.. You are proposing a cult of con-artists? It could be fun, and different.

Then there's the Pastafarians and the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster! May you be touched by his noodly appendage!

But.. that's a real religion

Your finagle suggestion above. Would that pertain to the meaning of the verb, to finagle, or Finagle's Law?

Finagle's Law - deeply entrenched in the history of sci-fi.

I see, deep sci-fi heritage is certainly no minus. I've never read any Larry Niven though I have two books on my list. I see he is credited with some potent maxims.

Yes that would make the followers a morose and miserable lot. I like the potential a lot.

How about Randomius Factoria, the only one rooted in the Lore?

My initial musings on the wiki page were the result of a lack of information. But now, with our creative cluster of budding theologians....
