It was probably one of those. I did a validation on every entry in my ship list to confirm everything resolves to an actual file.

Will give the new version a whirl and report back if there is still a problem. I have to catch a Thargoid and Thargoid Wars expansion packs installed. These drive the creation of 'Thargoid Spy Satellites' which appear near the witchspace beacon when you first enter a system. You have to destroy them quickly otherwise your inundated with Thargoid Warships

More intel on the HUD. I have isolated the issue to when the ident system is activated - it only seems to affect the aforementioned spy satellite and any Coriolis station. Even the Torus stations are ok as is the navigation buoy close the Coriolis station. All other objects are fine. If the Xenon Hub is selected for example then there are no issues at all.

I have also noticed when choosing the Vimana X Hud with 6 MFD's that the original comms log still displays as it does for all other Huds rather than it just sit in the Comms MFD if it is activated in the Vimana X Hud which is annoying.

I would like to state that the folks that have built this over the years based on the original Elite deserve a lot of credit

Could I ask that you have a look in your latest.log file and report any errors you might find? It will make the task of tracking down the issue a lot easier!

Here you go... not sure how you attach the file so have cut and pasted the part where all the errors are... I may not have an OXP installed that I should have or have an OXP installed that is interfering with the Vimana-X Hud. As soon as I pressed U to disarm the ident system then the errors stopped.

Thanks for the report. A new version, 1.10, should appear in the manager shortly. This version has some protection against the error you're seeing. However, could I get you to have another look in your log file after you've got this new version and had a play with it? I'm expecting to see some error messages there that will help me track down the precise cause of the underlying error.

Thanks a lot... have just updated it, As Buzz Lightyear says 'To infinity and Beyond!' Just did a jump and Coriolis station seems to be working now when ident active - jerking movement has stopped. Yes, I believe I did.

Try it on your AppleMac? On mine it went from never ever saving the MFDs to working all the time with the most recent versions of HUD Selector, Telescope etc.

Version 1.11 has been released. In this version:

• Added some missing station image lookups.
• Rotated some station images for consistency.
• Tweaked the compass image for less graininess.
• Further improvements to the MFD background clearing process.
• Added extra system info to witchspace destination label when docked.
• Added station name and current system name and info to docked HUD.
• Missile data in the target information panel now only shows what type of missile the target has launched.
• Used cargo space of the target is now only visible if Manifest Scanner has scanned ship.
• Added missing Sidewinder image, now distinct from Sidewinder Escort.
• Added disambiguation keys for ships named "Sidewinder Scout Ships" (which could be Sidewinders or Sidewinder Escorts).

Of particular note is the missile data and used cargo space. Both these items were displaying information the player didn't have any right to know. So now the missile display just shows what type of missile the ship has been seen to launch, and the used cargo space is only visible if you have the Manifest Scanner installed, and you have actually scanned the ship.
