Ok, you're the
emporer boss!
Die you rotten bugs!!!
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

Thanks Okti, managed to get a script working which places the TCA in the right place in Tionisla now.
Now how do I get it to face the planet as well?
Thanks in advance!

This will align the TCA's z-axis to point towards the planet.
Code: Select all
tca.orientation = system.mainPlanet.position.subtract(tca.position).direction().rotationTo([0,0,1]);

Impressive! I like the scrolling ticker at the back of the docking bay.
Minor bug: The texture file "TCA_beacon.png" is called "tca_beacon.png" in scripts, which means it can't be found on Linux systems.

Beautiful!
One minor bug: during docking, the array pretends to be a Baakili Far Trader when it says "You are on final approach".
EDIT: screenshots added, false bug report striked.

Not hapenning here, your traffic control OXP may be out of date, and I can not see anything in shipdata.plist to give that name.

My mistake: the message from the Far Trader was still in the save game from earlier, it did not come from the array.

Hi Storm - I've FB'd this thread and some pics to Drew - I'm sure, if he can, he'll be back to give his thumbs up - spectacular work. Well done.

Storm... I'm close to speechless. That looks far better than I could have imagined it myself. I'm going to alter the descriptions in the books to better match what you've created. Astonishing work - bravo!
Looking through the pictures the first thought I had was "OMG... it's real... the damn things real!"
I will download the OXP tonight and trial it on my install of Oolite. WHen you've finished with the beta, make sure you start a new thread and announce it, folks will want this in their game I'm sure!
Thanks for realising this, I'm most humbly grateful.
Cheers,
Drew.

Even without shaders, it's pretty awesome.
