Different places, different shipping routes, different missions.

A feeling of achievement, no real significant differences other than those I dont think.

Some galaxies have overlapping systems, which - in 1.74 - require exactly 0 fuel to jump back and forth between one overlapping star to the other.. (in future even a 0ly jump will use up some fuel, so enjoy the free ride while it lasts :P), and - if you have snoopers installed, you'll get to read exclusive stories, tailored to each specific galaxy - well, 6 galaxies haven't got their special stories yet, but I've no doubt that in due course the writers amongst us will provide a smorgasbord of intriguing rumours... ;)
Hey, free OXPs: farsun v1.05 & tty v0.5! :0)

I am still currently at Harmless with no kills.
However I am playing this game differently to most others on here.

I already have a fully armed Cobra just by shooting asteroids in the Leesti system. 5.5 credits per asteroid (with asteroid storm oxp installed) plus scooping up any alloys that get left behind.

On an average run with a full hold of alloys I can make up to 1000cr.

Good for you - and if you're doing that you should install an Ore Processor (OXP) too - it'll find those precious metals and gems for you to trade with too.

@ DaddyHoggy
Yep I am waiting to get some more upgrades for my ship first then I am off to a higher tech planet to get myself an ore processor.

I prefer to mine asteroids at Leesti due to it being a safe system, even with deep space pirates installed.

@ Killer Wolf
Yes standard asteroids are still 1cr each but the fast moving ones that you get at Leesti with asteriod storm oxp installed are 5.5cr each.
The way I see it is you get paid more for those asteroids because they are heading towards the planet and main station and inpact with them.
They pose a greater threat so you get paid more to destroy them.
About half of them leave a tonne of alloys too so it is very profitable to destroy them.

I will have to get a few kills soon though so that the actual mission kicks in lol.

Ah, I remember when asteroids counted as kills, so I could play the pacifist and still crank up my Elite rating (but alas not since my C64/Amiga days or Oolite up to 1.65 has this been the case)

Go back far enough, and they launch Sidewinders. Are there Rock Hermits in Oolite?

Griff’s rock hermits are beautiful, and there is an oxp to locate them.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

There certainly are. They are not in every system, but you can get a Rock Hermit Locator (OXP) which also adds more...sometimes two or three per system.

Edit:- Ninja'd by E.V.

Always worth a visit as they have gold, gems, platinum, radioactives and minerals at knock-down prices, and pay well for booze, luxuries etc.

Errm.. links don't work for me so copy and paste.
You need to use ‘%28’ and ‘%29’ instead of the brackets () around 'Oolite'.
