I'll keep that in mind. By the way, it isn't EXACTLY like a mothership, as it cannot move at all - only hyperspace and galactic hyperdrive. It remains in one spot in each system, near the witchspace beacon.

Is there any bits of code I might be able to borrow off of you for building off of? Again, I have actual work programming, so any help on this OXP would be welcomed? (And yes, you'd get credit).

See my OXP licenses in the readme. You're welcome to any of it, as long as mission variables etc are suitably modified (just to prevent any unwanted interactions between scripts using shared ones).

The two I was thinking of are the repair bots (in same-named OXP) and the missile machine (in Armoury.oxp).

Quite happy to help and advise too (and quite possibly learn something myself), like I said I want you to prove me wrong on the things I think aren't possible to do!
