Yes. You can edit the oolite-default-shader.fragment and oolite-default-planet.fragment shaders directly and change the radiance multiplier from 5.0 to whatever value you prefer. For the 1.88 light levels change radiance to 1.0.

Some raiders trying to land on the planet
Someone doesn't like them and starts an attack
Another one joins in
They were too focused on landing and were quickly destroyed, the planet was saved.

If you use a mining laser on ice asteroids does it result in icy boulders and splinters?

Shooting these ice asteroids resulted in fast flying yellow shards
This is from Griff's ice asteroidtest, which only contains an asteroid texture...
