Thought of another -
Fury (1947) by Henry Kuttner - the cities are underwater on Venus, since the Earth is somewhat destroyed, but you didn't say they had to be on Earth.

Another story involving long-lived city dwellers and a harrowing escape. A theme within a theme? Off-Earth is fine.

Acceptable. That brings us to three, I believe. I reckon this will be a short round.

Stargate: Atlantis would be another.

I'm of two minds about Atlantis because it's really a starship that happened to be underwater or floating at one point in time, and was designed to be (and eventually is) mobile, rather than being built as an underwater or floating city.

Waterworld
In 2500[4], as a result of the sea levels rising over 7,600 metres (25,000 feet), every continent on Earth is now underwater. The remains of human civilization live on ramshackle floating communities known as atolls, having long forgotten about living on land. People believe that there is a mythological "Dryland" somewhere in the endless ocean.

OK, if we allow Atlantis (which I suppose technically qualifies, since I didn't specify the cities couldn't move), that makes five. Congratulations, spud42, you are the next lucky(?) recipient of the Ceremonial Question Fish. What question do you have for us?

You should've used these for answers, not publish them
Now they'll be used by others!

I thought others would find them interesting. I could have reserved the links until after this round, but people still need to choose specific ones from the lists I shared or offer others.

Those charts make this a little too easy, but I can think of a couple without looking that are bigger than the Lexx
Dahak, in David Weber's
Mutineer's Moon and sequels. It's an alien starship which hid itself by the simple ruse of destroying the moon (a LONG time ago) and taking its place, with a fairly thin skin of rubble covering the hull.
"A vessel some three thousand-three-two-oh-two-point-seven-nine-five, to be precise—of your kilometers in diameter."

You can read
Mutineer's Moon on line here:

And V'ger from
Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The most CONSERVATIVE estimate of the physical ship's length is 20km, but the dialogue said 78km and some estimates make it 97km
