I don't know what kind of OCD is this, but each time a "sobrero" planet screenshot is posted, it reminds me of this coffee brand commercial logo
...by the way... keep them coming a_c!

OK, you asked for it
Do you recognize this planet?
This is Lave with its properties modified to fit its description: "Lave is most famous for its vast rain forests and the Laveian tree grub." You probably can't spot the tree grubs above, but hopefully the rain forest areas are recognizable from orbit.
The planetinfo changes to achieve this appearance:
Code: Select all
cloud_color = "0.8 0.8 0.8";
land_color = "0.36 0.58882 0.120234 1";
polar_sea_color = "0.9941016 0.9932904 0.9934303 1";

Sorry for stupid question, but how to post images? I can't see attachment option in menu palette

You need to host images somewhere (
Postimage for example - there are others), then post a link.
If posting full image, max width is 1000 - if posting thumbnail or simple link, size doesn't matter.

@stranger
You could also <quote> a post that has a screenshot and see the BBCode behind posting images.

The planet Edoned is very fabled for its unusual oceans.

Great stuff but a rain forest with no discernible clouds?
A strange planet indeed...
I probably like my clouds a bit too much on planet textures but I find them very forgiving in terms of textural issues or problem areas.
Don't mean to 'party-poop' - this is great, just needs a whacking great cloud system on top

Maybe it was a sunny day in the rainforest...

The cloud system is present and in continuous motion. You just can't see the motion part in the above still shots. Actually, Lave seems to have a denser cloud system than most other planets.

Sorry to labour the point but not a lot of transpiration going on there, especially for a rain forest...
Planet textures have improved significantly IMHO, and I'm grateful for that, but if that's a dense cloud system then I'm for upping the density.
