Welcome aboard, Paladin Tux. Sorry it took a while to approve your first post - the early morning shift went MIA.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

 The mid-morning shift was having a kip, too ... a combination of age and excess. Welcome, though, Paladin, and welcome back Namttep!

As long as it was to report on how overpowered a certain small ship from the future introduced by a Friendly Gourd is, then that is no problem at all. :P
Find out about the early influences of Fatleaf here. Also his OXP's!

That would be because it is..
(Combat in Oolite 1.80 is somewhat more brutal than the original Elite. System political type has a considerably larger effect on how dangerous a place is. Being a dictatorship, even Lave isn't a safe place for a newbie to return to.)
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Greetings to all; New Oolite player that has fond childhood memories of playing an emulated Frontier: Elite 2. Currently running cargo & package runs around Galaxy 1 in my Cobra Mk III christened 'Alkazar'. In case anyone is interested, I am running the following mods at the moment to create an Ooniverse that I will most enjoy:

Behemoth
Galactic Navy
Commies
Dictators
Feudal States
Deep Space Pirates
Snoopers
Interstellar Help
Random Ship Names

Look forward to chatting to everyone on the forums!

Hej Commander Somersby,

May always be the width of a hand between your ship and the docking bay.

Hi there. I played original Elite years and years ago and last Friday I got lust to try it again and found this lovely game. After initial hassle I earned some money and equiped my Cobra with everything except that hi-tech naval stuff and killed first dozen pirates. Sweet

On this game I love, that it keeps the atmosphere of original Elite while the graphic was upgraded to todays standard. What a nostalgy! :-)
