Stunning! I just got myself a new notebook which is a billion times more powerful than my last, I will certainly be trying Reshade again :)

Hopefully your new laptop has a dedicated graphics card. You will need it for acceptable performance when you activate multiple Reshade effects. For reference, the above shots were taken on an Intel Pentium [email protected] laptop with 4GB RAM and an Intel HD610, all this @ around 30 FPS. OK for screenshots, but to play the game at these graphics settings with 60 FPS you will most likely need something stronger than the typical on-board graphics.

@another_commander my previous one already had a dedicated GPU, but Reshade would bring it to its knees. The new one is an i7 with 8GB of RAM, SSD and a NVidia 1050, so the performance is really stunning at the moment 8)

Been spending a little time looking through all these screen shots, a lot of very nice pics here.
I've tried my hand at a few but can't seem to get the HUD to turn off for them. I know there is a key for that, I think it is O, or shift O, but doesn't seem to work with the HUD I'm using, using the ED HUD orange currently, newest version.
Creativity is a gift, use it well.

The key is "o" but you need to be in pause.

@another_commander Would you care to share your Reshade settings? What effects are you using?

Glad you asked :-). Here is a link to the ini file that generates the effects as seen on those shots: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1oP0TS ... VzDY4YF7RV. Just drop this file inside oolite.app, run the game and select the ini file from the built-in Reshade window (Shift+F2 by default to bring it up). Let me know if any problems are encountered.

Edit: For completeness, the effects used are Vibrance, BloomAndLensFlares, Curves, DPX, LUT, Technicolor and SMAA.

Many thanks! I will be giving this a try later tonight. I played a bit around Reshade yesterday and though the performance is all right with my new notebook it is still nearly 40% worse than without it! I quite enjoyed using the Chromatic Aberration one, makes the HUDs and text look wonderful :)

Some effects are much heavier than others. You will find that there are plenty which barely cause a hiccup. The challenge is to find the good looking ones, which at the same time don't tax the system too heavily.

Edit: Just to keep it on topic:
