I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Using the 1.85 nightly build, in your planetinfo.plist's universal section enter this line:

Code: Select all

perlin_3d = YES;
This will enable the new style on all planets. Alternatively, you can enter the above line inside any planet's individual section, if you want to apply this style only to specific cases.

As the Admiral says, you need the 1.85 nightly build - which also gets you the new atmosphere effect.
That and Perlin3D are/will be great improvements to the core game.

That's a combination of a toned-down version of ZygoUgo's Cinematic Sky and ambient_level = 0.025;

there seem to be happening a lot in the 1.85

Can someone confirm lave is looking ok? ( i had a long time no atmosphere on lave, 'extra detail' on )
