@DaddyHoggy - it does indeed appear the friendliest forum this side of Riedquat! I'll look into doing some ad rings once I get a feel for the current look of Oolite. @El Viejo - I'll look into the cover art competition for the Oolite fiction anthology Alien Items. Sounds good! @Kaks - here's the icons. Using the already in place text graphics as a guide perhaps the commodity icons could be implimented? There's a working symstem alreadyin place, I just wonder how it can be stretched? The coders will speak.... Alien race portraits? Me an' Curt Sibling may be up for that! @pagroove - Got a feeling you might like this post...

You have two problems:
  1. There are only 14 free slots in the font. You can probably get away with replacing » and þ for English-speaking users, but there’s still only so much space. I don’t intend to extend it in a way that could interfere with our ability to do text handling properly in future.
  2. Off the top of my head I think you could use a colour texture, but it would be tinted yellow, i.e. the blue channel would be dropped on the floor.

Some lovely icons - a very large portion of them don't fit in to Oolite (sub-set of laser and hyperdrive types - I'm guessing they're based on Frontier?).

It would be nice to see these in Oolite (somehow)

Wow! These look tremendous, T*M!

I'd love to see these implemented somehow on the stockmarket or repair screen!

Hopefully there might be some way to overlay default text with specific text/images?

I likd them but this is indeed a Frontier/Pioneer version. For example thd Fruitnand vegetables should be changed to food. It also need some changes on the equipment dep. Aree you also make items for oxp weapons?

storming stuff!
the only one i don't like is the heat shielding, looks more like a ship using Torus/injectors. Personally i mebbes would've had a little rocket icon streaming heat/light from a glowing underside.

Hey Ooliters!

Thank you for all you feed back. Yes, these have been created with Frontier/Pioneer in mind. Will do a custom Kaks, when I'm free from work and some spare time I'll investigate market screen background image with a HUGE sci-fi matte painting of some mega-freight depot.

Need any other 2D Oolite gang? Please advise.

I placed them in but the back screens are at such a low resolution, while the game runs in a much higher one.

When I reduced the icons down to that resolution current for backscreen it is SO low the icons become insubstantial blobs.

Do any of the polite OOolite Code Boffins know how to employ the backscreens at a high resolution, say x4 in res :?:
