Sir,

I am in receipt of your “Final Demand” for payment of my account. I have to inform you that my normal practice concerning the settlement of debts is to place all of my bills in a hat once a month, from which I draw out two or three for payment. I have followed this procedure with regard to your bill. However, if I receive another letter from you, Sir, the tone of which I consider to be rude, your bill will not be put in the hat at all.
(Okay, not really a “quote of the week”, since it dates from the nineteenth century, but still …)

It's still possible for there to be more than one universe: “Our conjecture strengthens the intuition that holographic cosmology implies a significant reduction of the multiverse to a much more limited set of possible universes.”

Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg has taken out full-page adverts in several UK and US Sunday newspapers to apologise for the firm's recent data privacy scandal. He said Facebook could have done more to stop millions of users having their data exploited by political consultancy Cambridge Analytica in 2014. "This was a breach of trust, and I am sorry," the back-page ads state.
Shyster!

So one January day, while having a "troubling" time in the lab, he threw off the lights and shone a UV light on a puffin carcass.

"What happened was quite impressive, really," he said.

Arthur : "What's so unpleasant about being drunk?"
Ford : "You ask a glass of water."

"What, you mean the way the sea stays steady as a rock and the buildings keep washing up and down? Yes, I thought that was odd."

This must be a Thursday. I could never get the hand of Thursdays.
(Incidentally, his middle name was Noel, which is why I refer to him as "DNA". Seems appropriate somehow.

Incidentally, I believe his daughter's third name is Rocket.

The universe is a big place, perhaps the biggest.

There is an angry man with a microphone outside Euston station, ranting that the moon landings were fake. Not once has he said ‘Euston we have a problem’ #disappointed

On the proposed acquisition of GitHub...
Nadella pleaded with software developers to "judge us by the actions we have taken in the recent past, our actions today and in the future." He reiterated, again, that Microsoft was "all in with open source."
