I refuse to install flash player on my machine, so I can't view that link - but I think I get the drift.
I'll only put it on the watch list for now though (in other words, I'll leave it for Big D). <grins>

It is a company selling computer visualisations of anything you are willing to pay them for.

Looks clean - a profile with the same name is active on other similar areas, e.g. www.garagegames.com ... I've edited the above posts to avoid any too-public accusations.

Did Cody just kill a spam bot while online? I noticed a new member and just before I checked them out they disappeared!

Still won't do anything to solve humans being employed to beat CAPTCHAs, which I think is the way most spammers still do it. High-end AI is still quite expensive, but the old home-made kind can be had for a dollar a day. Or they can just let hormones do it for free.

In an online game i play occasionally, a player can gain rewards by "voting" for the game on several sites.
Since atleast 6 months i've been seeing graphic captchas instead of google reCapthcha .
The graphic ones i saw sofar come from 2 firms : confident technologies & picatcha .

I do have the impression google is a bit late.

Disembodied : since humans are used to solve the captcha in those methods, TECHNICALLY the captcha are solved by humans as intended. (just not at the sites that want to use them for verification).

Archlinux solved spam problems by having anyone who registers for an account enter the output of a linux console command.
Anybody with access to a linux system can easily solve it, but none of the spamming firms went through the trouble to investigate it, they just gave up.

Clever, but not particularly n00b-friendly. Or crap-it-will-not-boot-and-I-have-wiped-all-installation-media-and-only-have-an-old-Windows-machine-available-friendly, for that matter.

Correct, but
Arch Linux is a versatile, and simple distribution designed to fit the needs of the competent Linux® user
.

If someone doesn't have access to a linux system , a bit of searching for "run linux online" should bring them to www.bellard.org where you can run a linux machine in your browser.
In short, if people can't solve how to register on arch linux forum, they probably should stay away from archlinux.

NOTE : for oolite.org archlinux registering method is not suitable imo .
