Curious - almost as if Killer Wolf's website has changed hands? Edit the Wiki, someone?

That's what I was thinking. Yes, the links should be removed, but it might be helpful if alternatives could be put in place as the OXPs still seem to be available. If everyone agrees I'll try to find the relevent BB threads and link to those instead.

Sounds like a plan, Smivs - go for it.

Anyone here know Killer Wolf's real name and nationality? Because if he's not Russian, then going by the WHOIS records, it looks like his domain may have been stolen in Sept last year..

If the listed registrar really is him, then his site may have been hacked and redirected. Now that I think on it some more, I ran a WHOIS query on his site back when it was working, and I seem to recall the listed registrar was Russian then too.. so a site hack seems the most likely cause.

The last good capture of his site that the Wayback Machine has is dated 21 Oct 2013. The following one on 2 Jan 2014 redirects (indirectly) to a casino site.

I'll email him at the three email addresses I've identified for him.

I've had a response from Killer Wolf..
hi,
thanks for the mail. i gave up the site last year and happened to notice the same thing a few weeks later - some Russians had taken the domain name and loaded up a half-assed copy from a cached version of the site - i don't know what their agenda was but i made the hosts take down my content, but i couldn't do anything about them using the domain name.
cheers
That explains why I saw a Russian site owner listed even though (at the time) the site was still up.. I think it was the "half-assed" nature of the knock-off that caused me to do the WHOIS check in the first place..

So I guess we now go into cleanup mode.

Good work Dizzie :) Also nice to know KW is alive and well.
I'll take a look at the wiki and link to BB threads where I can.

Yes, good work, Diz. Now you're in contact with KW, how about asking him about his OXP licenses (which are problematic, I think)?

I'll do that, Cody.. I already sent him an invitation to drop by the boards..

I was going to suggest that too, Diz. He would be very welcome back here - please tell him so (though I think he has perhaps moved-on).

Aye ... it's the start of the Christmas rush, for all those people out there who want to buy knockoff goods from an internet spamster.

Although retired, I still like to keep my ear to the ground, and sometimes something comes along to make me chuckle.
