Been experimenting: in some external views, the beam is way off.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Yup. confirmed. Looks like a z-order or near/far plane issue. Also, under some view angles, I have seen ships in the background being rendered in front of the exhaust plumes of ships in the foreground. Very disorientating when it happens, but I've only seen it in stop-time freelook camera mode.

<Wipes dust off>

No OXPs, just a small bump of specular lighting in the default shader:

Yes, I also noticed and fixed in the latest [wiki]Fighters[/wiki] but thank you for the report. :)

They are some awesome shots, a_c! One question though - what's with the purple and yellow orbs? Reflections/echoes or something?

These are the shield hit effects from Custom Shields OXP. As the shields get depleted, the effect color - which is basically flashers used in a very clever way - goes from blue all the way to red. What you see in the screens above is the Krait taking hits, actually.

My favourite stop-over on the Seventh's northern throughway - looks kinda tranquil, doesn't it. But Ismaan is a PI/Feudal/10 - a nice place to do business!

Only 0.4ly from a PA/Feudal/4 too - no need to look for trouble in this neighbourhood.
