Sliders makes four, and Star Trek: Voyager makes five! Other possible answers could have included Ulysses 31, or (for a lost-in-time variant) Quantum Leap.

Over to RockDoctor for the next round …
The other one I thought of was The Time Tunnel, but I couldn't remember how much control they had over the time travel.

Well there is the whole of Star Trek 3 - the one with a woman in Kirk's chair, not the Earl-Grey-hot guy.
<finger counts: TOS, 1, TNG, 2, DS9, 3. Voyager 4; pedantically replies: />
Unless you consider Kirk's Star Trek as being Start Trek 0 (or maybe just Star Trek), the one you're talking about should be Star Trek 4. :D
I think DS9 was in the 20-odd years when I didn't have a TV, or even regular sight of one. I'm told it's in the Star Trek universe, but I've never seen enough of it to judge.

You'd be surprised.
Pleasantly (mavbe): there are chief O'Brian and Worf as a continuity with the "Earl-Grey-hot guy" series (familiar is apparently good).
Not so pleasantly: not the same "journey" main premise.
All-in-all: it has a (quite nice) storyline, only Star Trek Enterprise had a similar approach (all the others focusing on "episodes of the journey").

DS-9 was Days of our Lives/ Coronation Street , in space.. more of a drama than an action thing.. still wasnt bad.

I keep my eyes half-peeled for such things, but haven't seen it on TV yet. It'll be along one decade or another.

Sorry to interrupt once again, while I do enjoy the discussion about Star Trek I am eagerly waiting for the next question

I did enjoy ds9 even with it being 'stationary' ( a lot, that funny bar cafe  ), I still miss a new star trek series based on exploration like
voyager, Allthough the new show doesn't dissapoint and has interesting looks/ideas.

I remember a time the bbc had almost every day a star trek show...

Can we have a star trek question? Perhaps for nostalgic reasons  :?:

<taps the microphone: is this think on?>
Is there a timeout on this thread?
Maybe a three strike straight asks?
Let me start this miserable task:

RockDoctor, it's your turn since quite some posts back!

P.S.: Should be ok if you needed more time to brew the next question, but, please, let us know, at least ...

Sorry, I've not been feeling too good. Hadn't even noticed it was my turn.

OK, quickly composing one.

Where would you find a Columba, a Chappe and a Bell on backs of elephants, and why?

Is this question anyhow related to SiFi ? Without the columba I would guess the rider of an ancient war elephant

Is the 'why' something to do with sending messages? As for 'where' - no idea!
