That assumes misjumps are exactly half the distance of the regular jump. Sometimes, misjumps are slightly more or less than half due to rounding up or down. In any case, you could get close to the right time...but doubtful it could get accurate to the second.

That's probably what your ship computer is doing while you see it adjusting your clock.
