I think there is a very recent whole thread dedicated to how to get these OXPs working together. It might be worthwhile following it.

Where is this thread?

Hi, I tried to find this thread but couldn't. Can you point me to it?

Try this one. :)

You might find this one useful as well, as it tells you how to simply install an Oolite search plug-in. I used this to find both these threads in seconds. :D

Hope this helps,
Smivs.

Thanks very much

4. Stalker OXP: Adds a new ship that launches right after you from the station, follows you into witchspace, and makes sure you are always mass-locked. Some say the ship cannot be killed, but the author says they merely haven't tried hard enough.
I once considered making an OXP like this, but slightly diff, I'd of called it 'Annoying Rival OXP'.

The basic premise of it is that while you were going through Pilot Training School in Lave, you met a fellow student named Gary Oak (pokemons!!!!) You immediatly hated him, and he hated you 'cause you were always getting higher scores than him.

One year later as you're leaving Lave station for the first time in your brand new Cobra Mk III you see another Cobra Mk III pilot who immediatly opens fire on you. Either you or he narrowly escapes.

From time to time Gary Oak would randomly appear and taunt you and/or attack you, every time you upgrade - he upgrades, if you're a criminal - he joins the police, if youre good - he's bad. Etcetera.

After about 50 battles with him you finally manage to kill him.

When you next arrive at the station you get a call from your Mom telling you that you had a long lost twin brother named Gary.

THE END.

How about a BOorg Cube OXP, where if you're captured you get assimilated and every time you start the game you're stuck in a little alcove re-charging. And that's it. Nothing else happens.
A good suggestion...waaay ahead of you there!

Tonyhippy, Nice One! Prior Art wins. Perhaps as it's such a popular idea someone should actually do it. Can we do Tractor Beams in Oolite?
There You go:

That's disproportionately more funny than it should be. :P

Where do I buy the tractor?

What are the specs of the tractor? What's its cargo capacity? Does it have a mining laser? How fast can it go? Can you only get it at pirate bases?

Goran,
That's easily the funniest thing I've seen here :D
Thanks for sharing it with us.

And it also looks like it's Jumping the shark

I've never laughed so much over something on these forums.

Ooooh. I remembered reading about this phenomenon years ago, and then later when I wanted to use it / look it up again I no more remembered the term.

I have a feeling though that there is also another term in use ? :?

For "clear sign that some series / whatever has already passed its original quality / run out of ideas / etc."
I remember Buffy the Vampire Slayer being mentioned as the only series ever that not only survived a musical episode, but where a musical episode actually added to it.
Also I remember the term being used not only for TV series, but also comic book series or novel series.

If anyone knows what I shold look out for, telling would be nice.

"Nuking the fridge" is making a gallant effort to mean the same thing, at least according to TVTropes ...
