Thanks, Griff. It seems that I can't get the same decal in the "rolled into one" OXP as in the single download from your site (the one I use).
I'll PM McLane the plist details shortly.

yeah, the all in 1 version has different decals - the lovely Samurai family crest designs Disembodied posted a while back in some thread somewhere, the reason being i needed lots more decals for that version of the oxp and couldn't draw any decent ones myself ( the original ones are just hazzard symbols i pinched from a health and safety website!)

Well I like them fine.

Thanks Griff.

Griff, a question:

That Dodo station in McLane's example - where can I get it?

It's in the pagroove_stations.oxp, which replaces all main stations in the Ooniverse with different Griff versions. A very nice addition.

Ah, thank you, McLane.

pagroove created a whole new set of texture maps for a station model i had knocking about (as well as backstories for all the new station types too), it's well worth a download!

Now I do wonder: The heart symbol, for what hazard is it? ;)

Do you think it is too big for my graphics card? I see it's 4096 x 4096.

Okay, I try to reduce it to 2048 x 2048 or 1024 x 1024 and report back.

Reporting back: Okay, this is how it looks with a 2048 x 2048 texture size:

Much more like it. So it seems indeed that my system can't swallow high definition textures. I am indignant, hadn't thought that of a 3 year old MacBook Pro! :?
Sorry  for the big texture. But do you like it now? 8)

Greetings,
P.A.G.

The new Thargoid release comes this weekend. Probably I put in a lower res version in the package too.

There are some free GPU info tools which can also report the maximum size for textures - and as you write this, most probably the answer is yes. I've seen cards which did only support up to 2K
This is not an issue (assuming, of course, working drivers) – Oolite will scale textures down if they’re too big. (If it does turn out to be the issue, you can use the max-texture-size hidden setting.)

I'm also having the same problem Commander McLane had, and am also on a mac, if that has anything to do with it. I too have never had problems with other shaders, i.e Griffs normalmapped ships.
I tried changing the texture size to 2048x2048, and although it was slightly less glitchy, some parts of the hub had no texture at all. Changing the max-texture-size worked, but I'd rather just change the texture for this oxp if possible. Would you be willing to post your modified OXP mclane?

Also, I'm new here, hi :)

Hi Tritone, and first of all welcome to the boards and of course to this great game! :D

I've uploaded my downsized texture to the box, you can download it and put it into the OXP:

Cheers! Your texture worked fine... I tried changing the size myself with both photoshop and preview, and had the same issue with both.
Oh well, yours works fine, so no hassle.

Thanks Commander McLane. I did not found the time to support this myself. Is it good if I include the reduced texture in the next 'official patch'? I ask this because there is also a script change by Thargoid that I still have to package.
