Brilliant-looking models and textures are a put-off for me, because when I looked at what I can produce I despaired, and gave up on my OXP (actually, a bigger reason is that I'm too lazy, but it didn't help). Anyway, shaders are just fancy eye-candy (says someone with a laptop that can't handle them )
