LittleBear, that's a much grittier explanation that I had.....

Do you think it is possible to create an OXP which would change all Slaves into Food? (Bad_Taste.OXP)Captain Hesperus wrote:I understand your concerns. Maybe you could write an OXP that allows you the option of releasing slaves rather than selling them......

Hmm....... as soon as you are mass locked in the Station range hit Shift D, docking is instantaneous and much quicker than flying in at full speed even with injectors, I agree that manual docking can be quicker than Shift C though.Lorfarius wrote:I bought a Docking computer and I dont think it saves me anytime at all. Im at the skil now where I can easily fly full speed into the dock without hitting the sides and using the DC seems to take forever as it lines up, circles, speeds up, then slows down etc. Is therereally any benefit to it besides being able to leave the docking sequence running whilst you Alt Tab out of the prog to do other things?
Unless there's a traffic jam......TGHC wrote:I agree that manual docking can be quicker than Shift C though.

One quick tip about passenger runs and cargo contracts - you get places much faster by making shorter hyperspace jumps. You will also get bonuses for arriving early.Fraoch wrote:I'm currently on my first passenger run.
Ohhhhhhhhh...I thought it was the opposite - longer hyperspace jumps to get there using as few of them as possible. Thanks!stevesims wrote:One quick tip about passenger runs and cargo contracts - you get places much faster by making shorter hyperspace jumps. You will also get bonuses for arriving early.
Are you sure, some items of equipment are only available as a reward for completing a mission, or already fitted to a ship you purchase.Fraoch wrote:BTW I'm more or less fully-equipped now: Got all upgrades, shield boosters included. I'm rated Average with 50 kills. So now - increase my kills and save up for a new ship.
I don't believe that's true, there are no TL 15 systems. Unless I've missed it...United Blobs wrote:You can buy the naval energy unit at TL 15 stations (maybe lower)
Unfortunately no, the only way is as I said in my previous post.United Blobs wrote:You can buy the naval energy unit at TL 15 stations (maybe lower)
TL 15 planets exist and you can buy them but I think you may need to do the mission first.Captain Hesperus wrote:I don't believe that's true, there are no TL 15 systems. Unless I've missed it...United Blobs wrote:You can buy the naval energy unit at TL 15 stations (maybe lower)
<EDIT>I can confirm that there are no TL 15 worlds in the planetdata.plist for Oolite.

as far as I can tell that's only sorta true (the TL 15 part) from what I've seen the TL displayed in all the coding is one less than that which is displayed in the game...sorta like the numbering of the galaxies...at least that's how I understand it...as far as actually purchasing it...no clue...United Blobs wrote:TL 15 planets exist and you can buy them but I think you may need to do the mission first.
