And, just thinking about things, it might be an idea to mention that the "flavours" are just examples which should be tailored to fit what the player wants, and will need deletions and additions as the player gets to know the OXPs. They are not "official versions".

I think this is clear to those who discussed about and invented the flavours. Do we need to point that out to other users? Where so? And how?

We do not need to address this immediately. Instead we can also wait and watch for some time.

Yes, we do! How about doing so on the screen with the flavours buttons?

And, by the way, your latest tweaks don't work on the AppleMac: I'm using 0.1.28 uxbridge 10 - I can't use the menu to "enable" anything, and I now get an error message most times I try opening it up - java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "java.util.List.stream()" because "this expansions" is null

There is plenty of space. Top, left, right, bottom or if you so wish center. ;-)
How would you like the screen to look? What is the message to show up? (and btw, I believe a doubleclick on something that looks remotely like a button is intuitively as well).

Alas, I can't see it any more. The geographical location is now in your hands!

How about this:

These "flavours" are collections of OXPs which flavour your Ooniverse in a particular way. These collections are not sacrosanct - feel free to remove some (or include others) until you have attained your desired utopia! You can save your collection by using the <Gadzooks-and-Gurgle!> button above.

*Vanilla game: no OXPs added to what you might already have included
*Beginners: Basic information/equipment to play the game (unavailable in the 1984 look-alike)
*Depth Set: Adds in some Lore & some Politics!
*Stranger's World: more realistic Astronomy and Physics

Here's another:

*G1 Missions & Activities

Bank of the Black Monks
Escort Contracts OXP
GalCop Missions
GalCop's Most Wanted
Illegal Goods Tweak OXP
Random Hits - does this add too many dangerous ships to a new gamer's Ooniverse?
Asteroid Storm
Long Way Around
Scourge of the Black Baron
The Collector
Tionisla Reporter (is this in the "depth" flavour?)

We will need something for G2, G3, G4, etc. Perhaps just meta-OXPs? By the time a new player gets to G2 they will no longer be so new and should not need so much help.

Others
*Trading (New Cargoes, Smugglers, Bloomberg Markets etc) - some of this is already in Depth
*Elite Trader (Reval's suite)
*Exploration (Explorer's Club, Zero-Map - Wildeblood will probably have better ideas for this)

You might want to add a Flavor for the Additional Planets and the Stations for Extra Planets (SFEP) suite of OXZs. SFEP is dependent on Additional Planets whose textures closely resemble those of Povray Planets . These work well for those not wishing to go with Stranger's physics changing OXZs. The following may not be comprehensive but should be fairly close, corrections and additions are welcome. This list also includes the WildShips OXZs for the Kiota Stations which are not really a part of the whole but do add a lot to it. Ditto for the last two entries on this list which are really just a lot of fun to have due to the clever writing.

Additional Planets SR Base
Additional Planets SR Alien Worlds
Additional Planets SR Dusty Worlds
Additional Planets SR Earthlike Worlds
Additional Planets SR Gas Giants Demux
Additional Planets SR Gas Giants
Additional Planets SR Icy Worlds
Additional Planets SR Ocean Worlds
Additional Planets SR Redux
Additional Planets SR Rocky Worlds
Additional Planets SR Volcanic Worlds Demux
Stations For Extra Planets Base
Stations For Extra Planets Stations
Super Hub
Super Hubs For Extra Planets
Globe Stations (Is a facelift with SFEP. As a stand alone OXZ it replaces Main Stations.)
Torus Stations (Is a facelift with SFEP. As a stand alone OXZ it replaces Main Stations.)
WildShips
WildShips Facelift
Kiota Station Relocator (With this the Kiota stations do not replace the Main Station, it places them in orbit around the system's Star.)
Alien Systems (No stations but lots of great messages based on a system's species.)
Solo's Alt Main Stations (These do replace Main Stations but like the above have great messages.)

Hiran - you'll want to flag up that Stranger's World OXP suite introduces its own planets which conflict with the Additional Planets OXP suite NiteOwl has just mentioned.

The Additional Planets suite lines up the planets from the witchpoint so that they look good and are reasonably close to each other.

...and with it being Redspear's work, you also get his sense of humour... (see below)

The Stranger's World suite has orbiting planets - and at much greater distances from the sun. ("Realism").

Probably that problem does not yet exist. I did not yet add a feature arquebus had asked for. Thus currently flavours act like highlanders. They do not tolerate others.

When you doubleclick a flavour, OoliteStarter will compare the installed expansions versus those in the flavour and come up with a list of changes. It is on the user to approve or not. But expansions not contained in the flavour will be uninstalled, so it is either curry or chili menu, not both.

So if you want to combine arbitrary expansions, I encourage you to go to the expansions tab and create the mix of your choice. This might even lead to more expansion sets (that eventually end up in flavours) to be shared along the community.

Ping!

While some of you requested flavours and their content to be created, has anyone actually checked if they work as intended?
If there are no complaints I will consider that done.

Creating more flavors or changing their content actually means to maintain the website. There are no changes to OoliteStarter required.

Utter failure trying to download the bally thing. Could find nothing to "press" on the current Github page.
