I don't think that's the one. There's no mention of lasers anywhere in the equipment plist or scripts. I'd suggest instead [EliteWiki] Laser Booster. Breakable lasers are part of that one.

You are right, BattleDamage damages just the hull... but I don't have Laser Booster installed in my ship, it should not damage my lasers.

It happens often... about 20% of my fights... quite annoying ! :evil:

I unziped every OXZ in my MannagedAddons and Addons directory and searched for 'setEquipmentStatus(<variable>, "EQUIPMENT_DAMAGED")'... the only viable candidates were MissileandBombs (if hit by a missile), FuelTweaks (during fuel transfer), RandomHits (if docked at a bar) and InterstellarTweaks...

Upgraded the OXP to version 2.2
Had a Military Laser in main position and an Uber laser from NewLasers in the secondary position at the forward mount.
Activated LMSS at the forward mount, now have the Uber laser at the primary position and nothing at the secondary.

OK, v2.3 has been released which should fix the issue with lasers not switching successfully.

Very minor feedback, but activating the LMSS primeable equipment when you have no alternate laser for the current slot (forward/side/aft) does nothing. It should probably show a console message that there is no secondary weapon set up there, or that you don't have LMSS installed there (as appropriate). In my case, I had set up an LMSS secondary earlier, then reverted to an earlier save which didn't have it, forgot to re-do it, and was later confused when I tried to switch during flight and the activate function did nothing.

V2.4 has been released, which makes a "boop" sound if you attempt to switch lasers in a position where it's not possible to switch.
