Just another quick question to everyone before I go and order this on Friday, but do you think I need to add any more fans to this? I think it should be okay as the case I have has three fans:
1 x front 200mm case fan
1 x rear 120mm case fan
1 x front 140mm case fan
Plus the CPU cooler and the case itself is quite roomy so I'm hoping this will be ok?

Much air going in (2 fans, 200mm + 140mm), not so much going out (1 fan, 120mm).
Slight overpressure in the case is good to have, but an extra rear or top fan wouldn't hurt IMHO.

So would something like this be needed:
NZXT Sentry 2 Fan Control
Features
- Touch screen interface
- Five fan control through an intuitive interface
- Ultra fast selection and response time
- Display temperatures in both F and C
- Light switch turns off the meter when sleeping
- Automatic and manual modes of control
- Full compatibility with all types of fans using voltage control
- With a maximum of 10 Watts per channel, the Sentry 2 will support almost all high end fans
- Tuned accuracy with only a tolerance of one degree
- Sound alarm to alert when the temperature is over
- Stored settings, the Sentry keeps your settings even after power off
5.25" Touch Screen Fan Controller
Introducing the Sentry 2, a full system fan controller with an advanced touch screen interface. Sentry 2 easily installs in a 5.25" bay and is compatible with any fan that uses voltage control. The innovative touch screen features ultra fast selection and response time and displays all pertinent info including temperature readout in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Sentry 2 allows users to control up to 5 fans with the option for manually tuning individual fan speeds or letting the automatic controls take over to correspond to a specific temperature. The controller's advanced functionality sounds an alarm to alert the user should the temperature exceed a preset amount and stores saved settings even after it is turned off. Designed to maximize efficiency, the Sentry 2 supports 10W per channel and creates less heat than traditional temperature displays.
Maximum Fans
As part of the package we will install up to 5 fans inside the case. Most gaming cases come supplied with 3 or more fans by default, and these will count towards the 5 fans in total that will be supplied.
You should expect any additional fans to be solid black and 120mm in size.
Or would this be overkill? It's an extra £52.00...

<guffaws> I've recently been given negative rep, admittedly humorously, for my sig!
Overall, there is a smell of fried onions!

Well it's now officially ordered! I was probably a little silly and went with the fan controller in the end, but I decided if nothing else it was worth it for the extra 2 fans and the fact I can see the temperature so have some peace of mind. Plus I had the money so why not?!
Now... In a month's time give or take (as I know they take forever to build and send it) I should hopefully have a decent gaming PC!

Made a quick amendment this morning whilst it was still being processed. Changed the GPU to a GTX 980 4GB instead!

It's here! Only took one week but worth the wait!
Elite Dangerous plays in full spec mode and never dips below 59 FPS so far!

What
does that signature mean, if you don't mind saying (and haven't said elsewhere)?

Ain't a new machine lovely, eh... the silence of the fans!

It's much quieter than I expected considering it has 5 fans but at least it's not going to overheat and at least it doesn't make loads if noise!
The lowest I've seen the FPS drop to in ED now is 45 when jumping to a new system but it shoots straight up again.
