I've installed 1.1 of the TeaMaker, and I get a message saying I've had the old version removed, and then I buy a new one - the new version - and the same thing happens, i.e. happens again. Also, a search of my save file seems to contain no mention of any tea-making equipment. Problem?
Cheers.
That doesn't sound right!
The message is only shown (once) if v1.0 had previously been installed. This is linked to the 'upgrade path' built into the OXP - it checks for the v1.0 tea maker and if it is present it shows the message, removes the v1.0 teamaker ("EQ_TEA_MACHINE") and replaces it with the v1.1 version ("EQ_TEA_MAKER").
You should not be offered a new one for sale if you already have one installed.
Could you check that you don't have both versions installed simultaneously, and post the latest log and your save file here please?

I got the same message, even though I never had the 1.0 version installed. I'd provide you with the savefile, but seems like my hard disk just committed suicide

Same here, I looked in my addons folder and could not find the old version. After a search, however, the old version was found in the same folder...
An invisible findable file. After Deleting it, it workes like a charm. I am on Ubuntu 12.10

Hmmm, this is quite strange. I tested this thoroughly before release and again this morning after the 'bug' reports and all seems well.
A Jameson (completely new Commander) has no screen on startup and no screen after an immediate re-dock - that is correct.
A Commander with v1.0 gets the screen on startup, the old one is removed and the new one installed, and no more screens at any point even after a launch and re-dock - that is correct.
A Commander with v1.1 gets no screen on start-up and no screen on re-docking - that is correct.
So it seems to be working OK. My first thought when I read UK_Eliter's post was that he might have both versions installed at the same time as that would cause this. onno256's post suggests this is the cause.
I really don't know why thermonuklear is getting the screen as my tests with a virgin Jameson again seem to be working as expected. I guess we'll never know as his hard-drive died. Sorry to hear that, by the way. Always grim news. It wasn't me, honest!

It's my bad. Sorry. I did have the old version installed as well. I thought I'd deleted it - but I hadn't.
I like the new sound effects!

Ha, no worries - I thought that was the most likely reason.
Glad you're liking it

The new cup of tea maker is a blast, but since it is evening here in the Netherlands I've switched to using the beer cooler

I managed to salvage my autosave from the dead drive
It's prior to buying the Teamaker, so I tried to duplicate the situation. Worked fine! Only oddity is that there were two Teamakers in the F3 screen.

Are you sure you only have one version installed?

I had my first brew yesterday just before a scrap with a Thargoid Warship destroyed my brand new tea maker
Anything but the tea machine.

I was, until I noticed I noticed I had Cup_of_Tea-v1.1.oxp AND TeaMaker.oxp installed
Somehow I didn't notice the OXP changed its name... <Bashes head to table>
now that I think back, I was very tipsy when the first version came out. My memory was a bit clouded about the whole installation thing... Luckily GalCop doesn't interfere with drunk piloting! That could possibly make a killer OXP though...

Had that happen too on my first run with the tea maker. The equipment is very sensitive

UPDATE RELEASE
v1.2 is now available, via the Manager or
wiki page.
This is a ground-up overhaul of this Expansion, with new features. It is also Oolite v1.81 compliant.
Changelog:-
1) New features added - see below
2) Two previous scripts combined into one script which is now "use strict" compliant and stops timers correctly.
3) TL99 hack replaced by condition script function.
New features:-
1) Seemless upgrade for existing users - a mission screen will alert you to the upgrade, and old (redundant) missionVariables will be removed from the save file.
2) As well as telling you when you use your last 'T-pod', the Tea Maker will now warn you when you have only five 'T-pods' left, and will allow you to buy more at this point so you don't run out. The new purchase is added to the tally, so for example if you buy 25 when you have 3 left, you have a total of 28.
3) As a piece of cockpit equipment, it should be well protected so has a much reduced chance of being damaged.
4) The Tea Maker is now portable between ships, so you can take it with you if you buy a new ship.
5) The Tea Maker is easy to install (it just needs plugging in!), so installation time is only five minutes.
6) Buying a 'T-pod' refill pack will only take one minute.

Great! For one thing, always nice to see timer problems fixed. They do so litter up the log.
If I had the time, I'd resume worked on my aborted 'Infinite Improbability Drive' OXP, which made use of your invaluable piece of equipment - equipment without which civilisation could not function (even if - keep it quiet - I am a bit of a coffee man myself).
