I think the use of dove as a verb is probably what's known as "An Americanism"

Drew, you did notice the Ooniverse is actually rife with absurdly cute creatures, right? Plenty to choose from, too - Furry Felines, Blue Avians, even the trumbles are exceedingly cute (at least until they start eating your cargo, that is).
