that's what my tianker did
i figured since she was full of Q fuel, if you were stupid enough to shoot her, something really bad would happen, but like dropping a lit match into a petrol tanker.

That one is a 6,500ish polygon model, I have since been tinkering with it and (at the loss of a few little pieces) have got it down to 2200ish, but it still needs to be triangulating, which will probably almost double that.
I have no plans to release it, but if Amaranth wants to include it he can (although it needs to be UV unwraped and textured)

If you like (or at least, don't mind) reading manga, there's this near-future (2070) hard sci-fi manga called "Planetes" (
ΠΛΑΝΗΤΕΣ) - and fear not, there really are no giant mecha or space aliens involved(*).
It opens with a passenger sub-orbital flight hit by debris, and follows with a group of
space, er, debris disposal technicians' daily routine. Along the way, we get to see mining
He-3 and
ilmenite on the moon,
Kessler syndrome results of an orbital war and the first manned expedition to Jupiter.
It ranges from character development, sociology, macroeconomics and 0g effects on psychophysiology to trivialities such as the difference between hard (though ungainly, hop in and you're good to go) and soft (decompress, or get the bends) space suits, why it's a bad idea to play baseball on the moon, and how come it's not impossible to be a practising Muslim in space.
(*) There's a Selenite and a guy who claims to be a space alien, but both are at least technically humans.

I have decided to add a couple of executive runarounds, based on the small ships from the PPK resurrection video. In role, they'll borrow from the Ferdie as a fast, agile ship with little cargo capacity.
The Sparrow is nearly complete also
and also the mobile pyro's playground, a.k.a. the fuel tanker

The fuel tanker is my favourite - and is pretty much how I thought an Oolite fuel tanker would/should look like.

Goody. Plenty of space for some nice fuel company liveries.

i like the tanker. i was going to redo a tanker model w/ three long tanks in a triangle formation, but it's gonna be at the back of my rapidly-growing ship-idea queue :-/
don't like the Sparrow tho, all those polys on the body make it look like a crumpled up ball of paper.
