I love it! Just the sort of thing to add to a collection of cheating OXPs. along with Oocheat, which I use to get free repairs. I'm not too honorable, I'm even considering becoming a pirate and smuggling narcotics! But then, I would never use my Pirate Zapper.

By the way it is not a cheat OXP, I call it a joke, but the players download and use can be called cheaters

Got mine to at least Dangerous.
Even being Elite for a long time and in a Caddy omega the dreaded "Press Space" still comes up.
When least expected!!
I've tried starting as a jamison from such encounters a few times, even using elite knowledge to avoid trouble.
Nope, nada, not a chance.
Space in my Ooniverse can be a bit busy with ships that aren't usually friendly and almost always tougher than your standard out the box Cobby. Don't remember the last time I seen a pulse laser fire.

Even in a relatively "safe" Ooniverse, sometimes pirates gather up in a bunch (after getting pulled together by chasing traders)...if you try to fight them all at once, you may die to a swarm of ECM resistant hardhead missiles even if the pirates are rather easy to kill.
