Definitely The Colour of Magic; page 46 of my copy, a version of the classic "Appointment in Samarra" (?sp) story:

RINCEWIND? Death said in tones as deep and heavy as the slamming of lead doors, far underground.
'Um,' said Rincewind, trying to back away from that eyeless stare.
BUT WHY ARE YOU HERE? (Boom, boom went crypt lids, in the worm-haunted fastnesses under old mountains . . .)
'Um, why not?' said Rincewind. 'Anyway, I'm sure you've got lots to do, so if you'll just--'
I WAS SURPRISED THAT YOU JOSTLED ME, RINCEWIND, FOR I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THEE THIS VERY NIGHT.
“Oh no, not -'
OF COURSE, WHAT'S SO BLOODY VEXING ABOUT THE WHOLE BUSINESS IS THAT I WAS EXPECTING TO MEET THEE IN PSEPHOPOLOLIS
'But that's five hundred miles away!'
YOU DON'T HAVE TO TELL ME, THE WHOLE SYSTEM'S GOT SCREWED UP AGAIN, I CAN SEE THAT. LOOK, THERE'S NO CHANCE OF YOU-?
Rincewind backed away, hands spread protectively in front of him. The dried fish salesman on a nearby stall watched this madman with interest.
'Not a chance!'
I COULD LEND YOU A VERY FAST HORSE.
'No!'
IT WON'T HURT A BIT.
'No!' Rincewind turned and ran. Death watched him go, and shrugged bitterly.
SOD YOU, THEN, Death said.

Personality isn't quite the same - he kills the fish salesman gratuitously a moment later - but it's close enough to count as his first appearance.

The first really classic quote is from the second book, The Light Fantastic

...Greyhald Spold knows that Death is looking for him, and has spent many years designing an impregnable hiding place.
He has just set the complicated clockwork of the lock and shut the lid, lying back in the knowledge that here at last is the perfect defence against the most ultimate of all his enemies, although as yet he has not considered the important part that airholes must play in an enterprise of this kind.
And right beside him, very close to his ear, a voice has just said: DARK IN HERE, ISN'T IT?

find the connection between Stargate, Chuck and Martian Law.

then find the British TV show, episode title and character

this shouldn't be too hard.

I was reading Pratchett before it was cool. Heard about Discworld (via a White Dwarf article) just after The Light Fantastic came out and started the series from the beginning with The Colour Of Magic. In addition to the snippet cited above, I remember Death being the one who hands over the lighted taper that an innkeeper is using to start a fire to file an inn-sewer-ants claim (leading to the Great Fire of Ankh-Morpork), and a number of other memorable moments too. There are plenty of good bits in The Light Fantastic, and a few more in Equal Rites, and tbh I don't know where anyone would have got the idea that Death didn't appear until Mort, much less put it on a website. Mort is the first to feature him as a central character, but he's very well established by then.

I am quite the tedious, overbearing bore when it comes to correcting people gratuitously, but I'm generally 100% sure of my facts before I do. It's the least I owe in a last tip of the hat to good manners. 8)

And thank you for being like that and making things right! :)
On that matter I also edited my relevant post to highlight the correction! 8)

OK. Hint number two made it pretty obvious even for me.

The questions and answers here made me read articles and plunge into researching for information on topics I thought I knew and also discover new areas of knowledge. So, I get the opportunity to kindly put a challenge in this forum in finding the following answer.
I do not know the answer, yet  , however I have managed to gather some information, that I will share with you after 24hrs, just to avoid any bias to your investigation.

What we are trying to find here is the first actor that performed the role of Buck Rogers on the first Buck Rogers radio show.

Here follow some hints/information and of course it would be wise for you to validate them first.
1. The first radio show was November 7, 1932 on CBS
2. Actors performed Buck Rogers radio show were, Matt Crowley, Curtis Arnall, Carl Frank, John Larkin (did not find any evidence that this list is in chronological order)
3. A reference in a YouTube video was mentioning John Larkin as the first one but the year mentioned was 1934, that does not validate the first radio show date, being two years earlier. Consequently we do not know which of the two (date or name) are wrong.
