OK - a 1950s SF-related poem allegedly inspired by the work of Paul Dirac became an opera, a couple of music concept albums, and most recently a feature film. Name the poet and poem, and the prize won by the author.

Hint - there's a Scandinavian connection.

Oh, hang on - "The Kraken Wakes", by John Wyndham.

At about that time, JBS Haldane was a "popular science" biologist to the extent that such things existed. That's the "inordinate fondness for beetles" guy. And "Orrington" sounds a very British name.

I'm thick, I've looked at all the wrong authors - for some reason all male until you posted the clue. It was Andre Norton, of course, The Time Traders (and several sequels).

OK, since I'm pretty sure I'm right on this one here's a question:

This 1977 foreign-language comedy film revolves around attempts to change the course of the Second World War in Hitler's favour, a plot thwarted mainly by the hero's impersonation of his twin brother and multiple time paradoxes.
