Re: Screenshots
A screenshot from today's flight in which, by the way, I finally reach the 1000 kills milestone - just 5400 more for that Elite rating

Re: Screenshots
<grins> Only another twenty-one ROCs to go!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Re: Screenshots
Sorry, I should have been clearer - you get a Right on, Commander every 256 kills!
Twenty-five ROCs is the big one - and I'm currently at forty-five!

Re: Screenshots
I can remember getting ROCs with the C64 version (not knowing what it meant!), but not with Oolite.
But what really impresses me is the lighting in the picture. I always felt that the station parts that are on the shadowy side, or the whole station when the sun is blocked by the planet, should be much darker.

Re: Screenshots
Some have the lighting set lower (or higher) than the default - for example,Fritz wrote:I always felt that the station parts that are on the shadowy side, or the whole station when the sun is blocked by the planet, should be much darker.
ambient_level = 0.2;
is my preferred setting.I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

That's what I was looking for! I'll experiment with the value, and perhaps I'll need Norbys headlights if I choose a dark setting.Cody wrote:Some have the lighting set lower (or higher) than the default - for example,ambient_level = 0.2;

Re: Screenshots
I knew it, I already have changed the file. Probably I should make a personal OXP some day instead of directly changing the core plists...Cody wrote:Cool - this may be of interest too (if you don't alread know of it).

Create a new folder withinFritz wrote:Probably I should make a personal OXP some day instead of directly changing the core plists...
AddOns
named Config
, C&P selected core plists into it, then tinker to your heart's content.I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
