It's "Esperetro". It may be a new art form -- only time will tell!

I should probably mention that I’ve got a much-improved version of Shady Billboards on the back burner, and I’ve settled on a Your Ad Here-compatible 256x128 resolution. However, I did notice a problem that probably also affects YAH: leakage over texture borders. When a texture contains a black ad surrounded by white ones (or in YAH’s case, a black one on the side we’re looking at and a white one on the other side), white texels can “leak” over the edge. My solution was to exclude one pixel on each side of the sign, i.e. use 256x126 for the actual ad. This isn’t noticeable for most ads, but ones with thin borders need redrawing. On the other hand, the effect isn’t likely to be spotted if both ads on a texture have similar colours at the border.

The screen shot that I've seen of the Shady Billboards looked really nice. Unfortunately I haven't been able to see them in action, since I'm stuck with an old Radeon card.
I don't think that any ads would suffer from losing two lines. (I don't remember any leakage in the YAH versions).

The ones with one-pixel (or one-pixel-ish) borders suffer. I know it because of my learnings testings.

Edit: revised version -- for some reason the colour got all washed out when I uploaded it the first time.
