Very nice. I like the moons in that one Layne.

Some lovely, moody shots there a_c. What ship is that? I don't recognise it

Anyway, great thread, as usual 8)

I guess it's not one that people spend too much time with. It's the humble orbit shuttle.

Just a nice view of the Arazaes system, I thought-- the volcanic planet in the lower left was particularly interesting to me.
<Sigh> Oh, how I wish my laptop graphics chip didn't have a seizure whenever I have multiple planets/moons installed.

Nice pic!
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Some results of my WIP celshading experiment :-)

No change on light in these pictures, only a small outline, but it gives a definite cartoonish feeling, don't you think?
The ambient light is set at 4.0.
Below the images are the links to the original 1920x1080 pics.

Huh. Very strange/flat look to that shading, yeah. Gives it an interesting look, thanks for showing that!
Reports of my death have been greatly underestimated.

You're welcome :)
In fact, this sun's light is very yellow, very hard.
The parts I've modified:
- added an outline of 2% to every OOMesh,
- disabled any shininess,
- disabled any specular.

Edit:
- ambient light at 4.0

A nice bunch of parcel contracts, all destined for the north-east corner of the seventh...

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Thargoid Warship:
We'll use your funny volcanoes for our burgers!

Is that Thargoid trying to say; "We're going to literally, slice off your manhood and stick it in a bun. Seriously, we will be eating your dicks lightly grilled in a bap. When we get hold of you."

Wow! Just wow.

Cody: I love how the Thargoid is talking about volcanoes when he's about to blow up!
