(There's one in The Russian Creed, an outstanding work by an author who is unjustly neglec^C

The Harlan Ellison short story We Mourn For Anyone is set in a near future in which duelling is commonplace. The protagonist witnesses a duel over a traffic dispute, and is later set up for a fatal duel with his brother-in-law after a professional mourner does such a poor job on his behalf that it is assumed (correctly, in fact) that he had murdered his late wife.

Either will do! :) Malacandra takes it.

Other possibilities could be Paul Atreides versus Feyd-Rautha in Dune, or Malcolm Reynolds versus Atherton Wing in the Firefly episode "Shindig".

Hiya. Sorry for the wait, again. It's a book (by one of my favourite authors) and it revolves around an unusual medical complaint, hypokalemia. At least, it's uncommon here and now; in the story it is all too common and the plot describes the measures taken against it and the social order that results. Enjoy!

At a guess - because there's currently a lot of junk piled in front of that area of the bookshelves - it's Have Spacesuit, Will Travel by Robert A. Heinlein

later - and Google Books confirms it. 2nd paragraph of the story.

Nice easy one - let's have five science fiction books, stories, or films with the word "Who" in the title but NOT the first word (that would make it too easy), NOT Doctor Who, and only one allowed per series etc.

Robert Heinlein, The Cat Who Walks Through Walls
Walter Tevis, The Man Who Fell to Earth

er … Philip K. Dick, "We Can Remember It For You Who-lesale"?

I think it will have to be book or film, not both, and I don't think I can accept "We Can Remember It For You Who-lesale" so that's three down, two to go.
