Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Err, behind you a three headed monkey! *g* I live in an area were jüttering (scavenging or "beach robbing") has a long tradition, and is still done today each season with the tourists.

Re: Screenshots
Well, I felt I had to jump on the Coriolis bandwagon. Here's one in Galaxy 7 - I've done it as a slideshow showing approach and departure HERE.

<wonders if he should point out that's not actually a Coriolis>

Knit picking! It's like someone pointing at a horse and calling it a dog, technically your correct but their both still mammals. Can't we just put our differences aside, forget these cherished beliefs of "right and "wrong", "yes" and "no" and pretend for one moment that we're ACTUALLY looking at a dog?Diziet Sma wrote:Nice slideshow..

No? Well I tried.
That's not a Coriolis! It's a round spinny thing!
Oh wait, hang on.....

I've always been a pedantic bastard.. don't see that changing anytime soon..ClymAngus wrote:Knit picking! Re: Screenshots
Bit of an easy victory though isn't it? I prefer to work a little from my one-upmanship.
It's like the entire there, their, and they're, thing. The points are so easily scored that they hardly have value. ;D

Now that's quite an assumption on your part..ClymAngus wrote:Bit of an easy victory though isn't it?

Re: Screenshots
Ha, fat chance! But maybe a screenshot will help. I took this while passing through an asteroid field just because it looked quite good. However, I have just noticed that one of the asteroids is not an asteroid! It took me a moment to work out what it was - it is from one of my own OXPs, so a virtual pat on the back for the first person to find and correctly identify it.Diziet Sma wrote:...threadjack over.

Re: Screenshots
Absolutely right
More right than I was in fact - I thought it was one of the Aliens, a Cephalan, but going back to the original and enlarging it further....

Re: Screenshots
I've got Aliens installed but the only ones I ever run into are the ones with a yellowish ship with a sort of trident shape, who basically seem to be aggressive idiots. Where do the others tend to turn up?
And re comments above, I meant Torus station, of course!
