where can we get those? I don't see it in the OXP list?
See Zygo's new wip here.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

What's happened to that Thargoid Cody?, is the shader not working - it looks a bit massively pitch black

It is one of the darkest I've seen, but as I moved in for the kill, the IS lighting angle changed, its lights lit, and it didn't seem quite so dark - just very purple.

I wondered if it might catch your eye, Griff - does it look right or not? I do have my ambient light set lower than default, btw.

it doesn't look right to me to be honest, i wonder if my shaders are flawed? - i've got them hard coded to use gl lightsource #1 for all their lighting calculations, it's possible this lightsource doesn't exist in witchspace (it's the system sun lightsource) which is making the thargoids really dark

This is another warship from the same encounter - how does that look?

My eyes must be finally going. I don't see any purple. Just black and lots of green stars.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king!

How are your monitor settings, Solo - it's definitely purple.

ah, that one looks better, it does look like Oolite makes use of lightsource 1 whilst in witchspace as you can see it shining on the bottom left of that second thargoid pic (and also on your own ship if you switch to external view in witchspace) - I wonder why that purple thargoid got so dark - maybe something odd in the random colur picker - maybe it needs clamping to brighter colours or something - I just noticed that the thargoids aren't lighting up when they shoot like they used to, i'll have to work out why that is - possibly I've got the wrong shader binding set up for the laser temperature, I think it changed a while back

To be honest I was going to post to ask what Cody had put into his mug of tea this evening as I couldn't see any purple either

Edit: Sorry, it's me that's got the dodgy tea\eyeballs - that thargoids do glow briefly when they fire

I think Thargoids look just fine. Here's crossing swords with one of them in Witchspace:

It's just how Zygo's awesome cinematic space looks like in Witchspace, combined with taking the snapshot at the exact moment when the green glint from the Thargoid hit starts fading out.
