Hear hear, Daddy. Good to know that prudent people are still abound in this Ooniverse!
Besides, I still believe that if you can't stand the heat, you should not have downloaded the kitchen-OXP!!! So it's up to you to fend off whatever you have downloaded and overuse of an energybomb (tabber in my book) only reduces playing enjoyment. Well, that's what I think anyway.

I refer to the Energy Bomb and Eject buttons as "I screwed up, press here"...not far from a "press space" moment.
I had to remap both to other keys as I was often bumping the Escape and Tab keys trying to press other keys.

After lots of mumbling and fumbling, I have yet to find a pair of behemoths on a warpath towards thargon cruisers, as part of the behemoth-spacewar oxp... Can's see a vortex or maelstrom anywheres, either.
I haven't seen any behemoths, either. Anyone know where I can find one easily?
Thargons... eh, I might be able to deal without them... although I'd like to sell their thargoid fighters, so that I could buy some captured-thargoid-drone bays for battle, from the armory oxp... all I find are missiles and missile racks, so I assume the military is hiding my precious drones. I shall have no need for missiles, when instead I can deploy many fighters to CRUSH my enemies from afar...
Hey, I just realized how good a carrier the vortex would make... hey, wait, can multiple drone bays be active at once? Can I cloud the piercing darkness of space with my cloud of death, swarming with the masses of ANTARES!

Vortices and Maelstroms are rare - but it may be worth checking your latest.log file to confirm the OXP is installed correctly.
Similarly the various weaponry from Armoury has different tech levels - it may be that the system you are in is too low tech level for certain items to be available (or you have the wrong legal status perhaps).

I hear your pain, brother. But wouldn't it be quicker to call them the OOPS, BLEEP , BLEEP, BLEEEEEEEEEP buttons?

Alas, the poor USS Moneymaker is no more.
As far as trading ships are concerned, a Dredger Trader is definitely up there as one of the best. But unfortunately the price you have to pay for carrying a 250 ton cargohold is too much.
There was this instance where I had some poor agg rubbish to sell on a rich in. On the way overthere I thought it might be a good idea to have a look at the local rock hermit. Prices on offer at the rich in for liquor were a bit low and knowing your faithfull rock hermit. they don't mind spending a bit of cash for a few bottles. So I lined up nicely as you do and honked the hermit for a landing spot and guess what. Docking refused, the git said. Can you believe that?
So I trundled away, took the lower price at the main station and left, quite annoyed. At the next stop, an anarchy aver agg, I thought since I hadn't shown my face there for a while, to stop off at the local space bar. I heard they were showing a great ant mud wrestling match too! So I lined up, pressed the buzzer and guess what. Yep, you guessed it, docking denied. No reasons given, just denied. And I had planned on putting some money down on Rex Fivelegs to go all the way!
Then a few jumps later, I tried to get some cheap repairs done at the flux converter. Since I was in the neighbourhood and had 125 war bonds I thought the best place would be the NavCom station. And guess what. Yepper!
No, people treat you like a pariah when you fly a Dredger Trader. So I had to say goodbuy to the faitfull mizzes and sold her at the nearby main station. Bleeden dealer took quite a bit of cash off the price because of the bad paintwork in the kitchen! But well, I need my entertainment and my contacts so what can you do?
I went back to a Boa Clipper. Luckily I had enough money to get her kitted out completely at the NavCom station, who SUDDENLY decided I was an okay guy again! Sjeesh! Talk about double standards!
Don't get me wrong, the Boa Clipper is quite a nice ship, but the loss is 100 ton cargospace is painful. It will take me ages to cream off enough credits to go for an imperial trader with a limited hold like that.
Oh well, I guess that's life. Oh and guess what. I just heard Rex Fivelegs is now called Rex Fourlegs and he was disqualified for trying to open an opponent's throrax with a leg.
There's just no justice left in the world.

Well, at least you've got a decent ship again...one that will turn heads, not stomachs

I can assume I have the right legal status - clean, and the right tech - 15, 14 X 2, and a 13. None stocked the above mentioned products...
Or hardened single missiles.
Or most of the special missiles.
Or bombs and mines.
or fuel scoops, for that matter.
But they did have missile racks(with hardened), the non-thargoid drones, and some other nice-ities. Hm...
Well, I'll have to check again another day. And that may not be a day near you...

Currently in Gal 5 doing some house cleaning when I pop out of witchspace and after scanning.. I see my old friend: green gecko.
Usually he spots me first however this time, I got the jump on him and we went at hammer and tong. Finally, I got a good shot in, destroyed his cloaking device and then I bracketed him with my forward laser and a brace of fragmentation missiles. After retreiving his escape pod, I scan for my hunt and come across 3 thargoid warships harrassing a convoy... so like a good bounty hunter,,, I charge in and disrupt the attack by destroying all three thargoid warships and 12 thargoid robot fighters. Taking stock of my ship and any damages occurred, I scan for my hunt and find him on the other side of the planet with his purple haze along with 5 other renegades. after stalking and approaching as close as I can... I hit the injectors, got in among them and destroyed them all with minimal damage... on docking I get a display that says I got a bronze medal for fighting Thargoids along with a notice that I got 2000 credits for bringing in the green gecko pilot and another 8130 for the successful hunt. Life is good when you have a Vortex.

Hmm, personally I would have gone for my interspatial anthem:
If I were a rich man
or in times of trouble:
Money makes the world go round....
And then they say I have a one-track mind.
Can you believe that?

[Mission spoilers ahead]
Well I docked at Aqualina (G3). Seemed that a Hammerhead transport was 'lost' so I offered my help.
I had a feeling that this would be a though job. Find the AHC Kraken that was hauling weapon platforms. I remember that I met those Hijacked platforms earlier and those can be really, really though. So I invested in some heavy weapons. 2 penetrating nuclear torpedo's and one normal nuclear torpedo.
Injected out to the Witchpoint and and soon got a visual on my target. My first 2 penetrating torpedoes went on their way. Well it was enough to weaken the ship. But she still was intact. I emptied my mil laser into overheat on the ship and luckily I saw some nice big explosion only to note that my aft shield was quickly decimated. Those pesky hijacked escorts. I had to make an emergency hyperspace jump because there was bout 5 percent left on the bar. Luckily I survived. Injectors where damaged. I repaired the equipment and jumped back to Aqualina to get my award.
So after my investement of 3800 credits I was awarded 5000. Not a huge profit but good enough.

And you'll have the gratitude of the ASC, including their nice large R&D department and retail store
