Edit: Cleared.
Little suspicious about this Jack_Sterling character. Better watch him.
Although there is intelligence to suggest he is connected to this guy in this thread.

(Clean!)
Has one hit on SFS and millions on google, but few are relevant of course.
This and only 5min online indicates this is one to watch closely.

One for the watch list. A few un-used memberships on google - clean on SFS

Clean on SFS but multiple new forum memberships courtesy of Google, including some for SEO and internet marketing.
(Email address is likewise clean but googling it reveals a connection to a commercial site ... that in itself isn't a crime, mind you! I'm happy to leave on intensive overwatch for now, but if DH prefers pre-emptive termination I'm happy to mop up the blood afterwards.)
(No nuking from orbit here)

When will the spam ever stop?
(When human beings become collectively smart enough as a species to stop responding to spam adverts ... don't hold your breath!)

Too bad that day isn't likely to come any time soon...

Spam is a fact of modern life. For example every day I get several emails warning me that bank accounts I don't have have been compromised one way or another!
In some ways it's funny, but it's a pain in the butt, and one that will not go away any time soon, sadly.

I get spam phone calls from people claiming to be from Microsoft about my PC being compromised (untraceable calls via Skype I guess because Ofcom can't do anything) - depending on my mood I either tell them to go forth and multiply or let them talk me through booting up my PC and what config options I need to edit and then I say I can't find them, so they try really hard and then I say "I don't think Ubuntu has that file..." there's a pause and then they either go potty with me for wasting THEIR time, or, knowing they've been rumbled, they immediately hang up...

Good one.
I have only had one scam call like this. For the first minute or so he had me going, sounded very professional, but he tripped up when he asked for my e-mail address and password because he wanted to send me a link. When I told him no he tried to give me a website link on the phone that was the length of your average novel. I quickly got annoyed and turned my head and said, "is the trace finished yet". He hung up.
