Dictators maybe. I was experimenting with normal maps and Griff's custom shaders and that dome came out quite nice. It's done with a plain one color texture and a normal map.

For Commies Amaranth has done a nice re-texture, that's really worth installing. Find it here.

Factory is looking pretty good :) May I suggest a subtle gradient to the dome texture, it creates a slight translucent effect that should suit it well.
Been painting away at the nebulas again so this is a bit of a teaser for what should be the final version lest I continue adding nebulea to it for the sake of it.
I've replaced several of the real nebula images for ones that work better in game, these have been added to a new section of nebulea where I'm hand painting to add more to mix the effects.
I'm completely re-working most of the hand painted nebulea to add colour and get them to work better in game. Anyways heres some example pics showing they seem to be working better in game..

Looking goooood :) Are these any good to you? The dock is unfinished but maybe you could hack the back wall out of it, I got fed up closing down and opening up as I'd decided to try and create a perspective effect with grates and such in the floors and wall, but that's as far as I got before it was no longer entertaining. I could try and finish it off a bit if you like?

Thanks ZygoUgo, those tanker skins look really promising. I'll test them out, add suitable normal maps along with some emissions and we'll see how it turns out. I'll open a new thread to the Expansion sub-forum, when I've got something to show/share.

The original dictators ships are not too shabby IMO, so instead of retexturing, I'll probably just turn the lights up, maybe add a grill or two for detail and add a suitable normal map. Then again, if someone has done any retexturing of ships in dictators, I'll be happy to check them out and put them in :wink:.

Here's a moody shot of an Imperial Enforcer. I've gently retouched the texture and added some emission. There's also some subtle normal mapping in work there. And once again ZygoCinematicSky&Nebula's creates a stunning background.
