I think that I've almost finished with the equipment redirects.

1) In some cases what I've done will not show on Hiran's Index page:
eg "Vimana Beam" now has a page "Vimana Beam (Laser)", "Target Banking Module" now has "Target Banking Module (TBM)" etc.
and I put up "Dummy (1t - 100t)" rather than Dummy 1t, Dummy 2t, Dummy 5t etc.

2) I have omitted almost all the items in the (Phkb's Magnum Opus) Ship's Configuration.
i) anybody using it will have enough knowledge not to need everything spelled out
ii) there is a lot of duplication (sometimes with equipment elsewhere): eg:
Thruster Power Coupling Class 1 Thruster Power Coupling Class 2 Thruster Power Coupling Class 3 Thruster Power Coupling Class 4 Thruster Power Coupling Class 5 Thruster Power Coupling Class 6 Thruster Power Coupling Class 7 Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 1 Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 2A Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 2B Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 2C Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 2D Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 2E Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 2F Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 3A Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 3B Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 3C Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 3D Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 3E Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 3F Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 4A Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 4B Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 4C Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 4D Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 4E Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 4F Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 5A Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 5B Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 5C Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 5D Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 5E Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 5F Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 6A Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 6B Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 6C Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 6D Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 6E Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 6F Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 7A Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 7B Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 7C Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 7D Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 7E Manoeuvring Thrusters Class 7F
When I know a bit more about this oxp I'll work out how to deal with it!

3) I have omitted duplicate mentions of Vanilla game equipment

4) I have omitted mentions of special equipment for missions (eg "Cloaking Device", "Unit 3 button", "Recovered Prototype Ship Schematics"etc) Also the various ship's cats. People would know where to look - and I don't want to spoil their fun!

This is a great step forward.

According to the list we put up earlier...
Phase 1: All expansions
Phase 2: All player playable ships
Phase 3: All visible equipment
Phase 4: Complete the missing parts
we seem to progress on phase 3 now.

Very wise.

I am not sure which thread you asked in. But the question was why the wiki index ( http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Index_of_artefacts ) contained less entries that the html set.

Meanwhile I think I found the cause. On the wiki I to show only visible equipment - and that filter worked somehow wrongly. Now we should see some better behaviour.

BTW, I added a reference to Oolite to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_gam ... nd_remakes.
Maybe it will enjoy some better popularity after that.

You spelt Oolite (video game) with capital V & R ... wiki won't do the link for you until it is fixed... (the number of times I've done that on our wiki is no joke...)

It does not matter. The page simply does not exist.
An earlier version of my edits was just "Oolite", and it was automatically linked to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oolite. Not good either...

So neither [[Oolite (video game]] nor [[Oolite (Video Game)]] link?

It is a wiki. Feel free to edit the link I created.
In my eyes it is much more important to create the resulting page.

Oh I am sorry. You were right - I had not even looked up the fact that the page would exist...
Edited now.

I really dislike the term green alert.

I am thinking about replacing yellow alert and green alert wherever they appear in the wiki with yellow condition and green condition. And possibly doing the same with red alert for the sake of consistency.

But that is my prejudice. What do you think?

References (Imprint, both in chapter 1):
..."That's a registered kill. We're at Condition Yellow. "Whaahoo !"
...Bad timing. The brief "Condition Red" warning sounded.

I'm inclined to agree, especially as F5 uses Condition: [whatever].

I have a faint idea you are referring to what the API calls alertCondition: http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Oolite ... tCondition

Green should not have 'alert' with it, I agree as well.
In Star Trek I believe Kirk used to have 'Alarmstufe gelb' and 'Alarmstufe rot'. The latter must have been 'red alert' in the original. But what was the other?

Aaaah ha! Got it: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Re ... arm_sounds
They seem to have even more colored alerts than I was aware of: Red, Double Red, Yellos, Blue, Graz, Black, Green. And they were marked off with a 'condition' or 'code'.

So going for a code red/yellow/green or condition red/yellow/green would be just as suitable.
