Re: Screenshots
Take a look at some of Capt. Solo's ships - use the OXP table and sort by author to group them. They have a distinctive style of their own but are not a million miles from mine and are all very nice.

They do provide some great camera angles for photoshoots. I was asked to post this elsewhere, so I thought why not here too.Tichy wrote:Wooo! I just discovered the marvels of camera drones...

Re: Screenshots
Now that is some seriously cool detail work!
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Re: Screenshots
woah I put way too many grime & dirt texture layers into that ship, the file would take about 5 mins to load into the computer and when it had done so, it would be another few minutes watching it draw itself on the screen as a series of tiny tiles about 3 cms square before it would let me work on it! I couldn't merge all the layers together for some reason without it freaking out, i ended up with about 200

Re: Screenshots
After fiddling with those emission maps I just could not stop and started to create hires updates in the spirit of Smivs' shipset. I'll post a preview pic, when I have finished the Cobra 2x.pagroove wrote:Nice pics everyone. @ Spara. I would like to see an updated X-ships OXP so yes please

Very funny, Scotty, now beam down my clothes...
Re: Screenshots
Here's my hires reskin of Aegidian's Cobra mk II (from x-ships) following closely the original design. Ship's name is still missing .

Re: Screenshots
Coo!. How many ships are left in the set? They fit also nicely with the Smivs Shipset.

Re: Screenshots
Yes, they will match Smivs' ships nicely. There are four ships in the x-ships oxp: Asp mk2 special, Cobra mk2, Python ET Special and Sidewinder Special. Cobra is now updated, so only three to go . I'm also planning on including Mussurana from Aegidians specials. Let's see how far I get with this project.
Re: Screenshots
You could make a look and feel page on the Wiki where you list out OXPs that match your ships look and feel. Would be a great help for those who want a consistent universe. I know it's a subjective thing and very much down to taste, but if you use a few pictures, it would give the player an idea of where to look.Smivs wrote:Looking nice
Would of course be great to have similar pages for the other ship sets as well (Griff ships, Simon B ships and so on).
