Smivs can see any 'New Members' thread being heavily spammed by the OXP authors keen to sell their wares (not that that ever happens of course). :D

This one looks highly dodgy, although clean on google and SFS

* (there's an endless parade of "carpintey"etc. spambots ... sadly I don't think we can do wildcard bans on user names!) (Yup, you can, see PM) (Splendid, splendid ... many thanks, DH!)

(seems clean!)
Really not sure about this one. Clean on SFS, and lots of forum memberships which actually look OK at first glance.

Re my above post, he looked clean to me as well, as I hinted.
Can the Master Assassins easily follow-up tags if we just quote profile numbers but not names in cases like this?

Yes, not a problem ... it's not just DH and myself who need to check, though. The point of including the name is to prevent multiple taggings, so all assassins should check these link-only posts to make sure that any new user they're suspicious of isn't already on the watch list. The best thing to do is, I think, to include the user name the first time: DH and I can delete these if email addresses and IPs check out clean.

I'd prefer the name too - just in case, post delete, the number is assigned to another new (innocent) member.

Nothing on SFS or Google, but the name makes my spammy sense buzz. One to keep an eye on, methinks.
