1280x1024 resizes perfectly to 1000x800 - I either use that, or crop to 1000x800.

Resizing always seems to make things messy, but I'll try 1000x800 :D - and I thought cropping the image would be a travesty :).

Yeah, sometimes it is. You should upgrade to 1.77 Deployment - no watermark (which is why I started cropping pics).
