where is a Sontaran's weakest point? And what's it called?
The probic vent at the back of their neck.

I like the Dr. Who series. Note we have a Tardis OXP, the almost 10 years old download link is still working. :)

This rings a very faint bell - one of Andre Norton's time travel series? The Time Traders and sequels?

Nice easy one, I hope - two beautiful young ladies with the initials TA, both starring in stories in Analog in the sixties and seventies. Who are they, and who's the author?

First clue - one of the heroines is a deadly shot.

Really? Nobody?

Second clue, one of the women is a telepath.

Third clue - they both appear in more stories individually than together

Fourth clue - the author wrote other stories in the same universe but using different characters - TA and TA are probably the best-known characters though.

Cracked it - I don't know these stories myself but the trick was using "psychic" as a google keyword, not "telepath" …

The characters are Telzey Amberdon and Trigger Argee, and the author is James H. Schmitz.

New to me too, though I read plenty of Analog etc. It seems Baen Books republished them.
Trigger Argee is a crack shot, with reflexes that make lightning look lethargic.

Exactemundo - the dipper is yours.

I was going to make a very crude joke about what the initials TA really stood for, especially in the hands of most illustrators, but judge for yourself...

The one on the left is especially baffling because if I recall correctly the character is supposed to be about 18 at that point...

 The miracles of velcro …!

OK, new question. Name the author and the book: a widow with a young family seeks help in moving house from a group of escapees from the National Institute of Mental Health.
