I found another branch from the Great Wheel route.

It starts by cutting through the Great Wheel, then meandering its way to the northwest.

Gesoed-Leonrala-Esbeena-Vevessve-Esveri-Anrati-Enerte-Edanma-Zaeredre-Anbedi-Zaaner-Gesolaon.

I've also found some worlds that turn one of the Great Wheel's branches into a loop.

Starting at the southwest end:

Atenrile-Enedso-Isatanar-Bequen-Anatma

Perhaps we could call that the Lesser Wheel.

Another small loop with a modestly profitable connection to that branch I just found. Starting at the SecCom system Usaorer:

Usaorer-Biceenon-Inriius-Enonedar-Xele-Usaorer. This could be the Little Wheel.

Usaorer-Arbean-Tirizaan-Lausmaes-Ribiinat-Anrati connects to the Great Wheel routes.

Going off of the Little Wheel, there's a minor route going from:

Sotidi-Ceinan-Tionis-Uslain-Beis.

I noticed that the Seige Worlds can be very profitable indeed for the brave or foolhardy trader. Provided that they're well-armed.

In the southwest corner of the map there's a route that could be used by any traders stuck in that region. Going from almost the far western end of the tail there:

Entizare-Quleraat-Somate-Inbe-Solaerin-Teusatve-Rareat-Dioris-Usinribe.

I must be on a roll today. I found another route. Starting in the region just above the tail of the last route:

Raatzama-Maera-Diis-Ceenge-Reraxe-Biradi-Zalexe-Cesousla-Tecexe-Qulecele-Bizalein-Cexece.

Sweet stars, another wheel route!

Starting at Rabeer just north of GalCenter G5:

Rabeer-Anraer-Antiaxe-Lavema-Beveinve-Matira-Azaenbi-Tiusriri-Onenceve-Vetele-Rabeer.

From Rabeer you also have the choice of going through:

Veedri-Ririor-Esrexe-Isxevela-Zalexe to join up with another of my routes.

Or branch at Ririor and zig-zag through GalCenter G5:

Aquxein-Onditi-Inbior-Bisoaton-Bisoge-Engeatso-Enuserin-Bilera-Erremaar-Ongequ-Edxebere-Edre-Geison-Anlala-Ingeisdi-Xebees

Edanma-ZaeredreDon't connect, I'll connect by Isvequre.

Hmm time for a rename I think.

Ok ok hang on, hang on we may need to pare this down a little. we can have too much of a good thing. We'll do the one through gal-centre a replacement for the big wheel and maybe one or two others.

Much more than that and we'll be able to paint the map on cotton run it up a flag pole and wave it around at a pride rally. :D

Still I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, so I'll have what I've managed to get done so far up on the web tonight we'll do two more tomorrow and then go from there. Plan? Actually, (after a cup of tea and a bit of a think) balls to it. We'll put them all in and put it to the vote.

In the mean time we still have 2 regios that need some names, anyone?

That last wheel and the GalCenter routes are the only ones that I have any particular attachment to. Also, I think that Anbiat is a better link than Isvequre.

Seriously, though, this map is a freelance trader's paradise. There's a good route almost anywhere you choose to go. If you've got an Iron Ass, you can profitably meander your way across this galaxy without any concerns.

There's one thing that stands out, though. The two halves of the map are almost completely separated by Anarchy and Feudal worlds. The one safe route between them has two Communist worlds, Andiso and Anrige, right in the middle of it. That means that they effectively control traffic between the two halves.

ok, the only machine I can do these maps on I can only access during the day so. The map I put up in the next few hours is going to be a work in progress (I am listening to you, it's just I'm on my way home now) :)

Like I said we'll put them all in and see if the majority of people think it's too "busy". If not great, if so; "compromise it is the eternal bitch".

I've got my trumble zone done so I'm a happy camper. Anything else is just icing on the cake. :D

Linking two threads...
G5 - top right - six systems - hexagram = "The Voodoo Suns".

A question:
Are the charts exact copies of the originals? Reason I ask is G3, The Prodigal Suns. I crawled all over these charts 25 years ago, and I can't recall two systems I couldn't reach.

Yes.

Although ClymA has nudged where necessary to make viewing easier the actually underlying data uses the same Fibonacci sequence as the original to generate the pseudo-random layout of the systems.

Except that it's not, in fact, a Fibonacci sequence. Just an algorithmically repeatable sequence of numbers. But not 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21...

I had about 15 seconds to post - so I took the lazy route and didn't offer a full explanation - but I think we got the message across!

Done (renamed the serenic arc) and rerouted via ANBIAT as requested.

Done and renamed. The Gemini orbit

done (taking in Arbean, might as well stock up twice on cheap industrials) (and connecting Enonedar to Inriisus via Sotidi) Called The Lesser Wheel.

rolled into the Serenic arc

TIONIS turnpike marked on and labelled.

Built and titled the extrinsic span

OK That's about as far as I'm going to get today. Upload in the evening and these left to do.

I think we're heading towards done here. I've made a few "aherm" executive decisions to help push things along a little. Anything which causes rightous indignation we can of course discuss at length.

The only thing I have issue with is the colors. Something about that mix is not pleasing. However, I'm not sure what a good set of colors would be.

However, the routes themselves are no issue. Then again, I'm biased.
