Tech question: I just got the free version of terragen 2 the landscaper prog. it seems (i've only read a bit of the manual so far) you can make planets with it. I wonder if you can convert them to dat files and import them directly or just use the image maps. Hmmmmmmm. /taps lips
You can’t use custom models for planets.

If it produces texture files though you could use them to cover a planet. If convereted to .PNG and the right resolution (as in System Redux and Famous Planets).
OXPS : The Assassins Guild, Asteroid Storm, The Bank of the Black Monks, Random Hits, The Galactic Almanac, Renegade Pirates can be downloaded from the Elite Wiki here.

Lerelace,

Now with a temporarily texture by Stromboli. I asked permission to use a texture of his. As far as I know he was working on a new one. So till a new version comes out this is the current one of Stromboli althoug I adapted it by adding a cloud layer. But Stormboli, if you read this, it's very good!!

BTW Lerelace is one unforgettable place. It's got everything (with the right OXP's added) namely:

Con Store
Black Monk station
Teranis HQ
GRS station
and a Trontech Vulcan Dodo station

Gives you a real sense of being in a sort of regional hub-system
I have holiday so I expect to have more time to finish the OXP now 8)

Some Commanders opt for more than the stock paint job, or pimp up their rides in other ways. Here, a riced-up Dragon cruises past a gritty station on a close flyby.

Thank you. That's my personal ride, the Dragon Lady Tiomat.
She's no longer a stock ship; I had a few unreccomended mods done along with the repairs and repainting, due that she suffered a bad battering in a furball with a renegade Ferdy.
A little extra speed tweaked out of the prime motivators, a little extra charge rate tweaked out of the main reactor, and four external missile pylons installed on top of the eight round internal launcher. It makes her an unofficial XE variant. :)

HUD shown in the pic is the latest version of MilHUD that comes packed with the Dragon.

I made also a private HQ version of 4096 x 2048. The little pictures in this version are out of this hq texture.
