Yeah. Regional differences can be funny... If you manage to get people from Brisbane and Melbourne in the same room, and someone mentions cicadas it's likely to be followed by a fair bit of ribbing over the pronunciation. :-)
Tomay-toes, Potaa-toes, everyone knows it's si-cay-das

What is slightly wierd is the way someone with another accent writes the accent of the reader -

The 'ah' to me looks odd, but the next go with the word "fella" seems more naturally Aussie, so would be "safer" "sista". I don't know how you would read it, but I would write American as "safer" "sist'r" and "fell'r" and of course British as "safer" "sister" and "fellow".
Although being from West Aussie, I would've looked for the "oi" as the pronunciation of "I", so Dizzy could have said "Hey, noice boike mate. Names Dizzy. You're a lucky fella! You take careovv'er orroight?" so that it reads ambiguous whether he was talking about Bee or the bike

Congrats Mr and Mrs Morgan Black!

And congrats on the milestone Neelix!

OK.. you started out great but this warrior has removed himself from your reading list ... if I want to read porn... I will read Playboy or Hustler(which I don't) There are young people that read this BB please tone it down.

Respect you writing ability but hate the recent content.

You wished to do this publicly... Okay.

Yah-Ta-Hey, I am sorry to have offended you. I will admit, I have pushed limits and boundaries with my story. Perhaps even, just a tad too far.

But porn Yah-Ta-Hey? I think maybe you should read a little Playboy or Hustler. That way, you would actually have something to compare my risqué little romp with. I have respected your comments on the board in the past, and I am saddened by the loss of your comments, and as a reader. Your comments and helpful input, have helped to guide my story and enabled it to grow. As well as given me the inspiration to spend the many many hours each day, week after week, writing for your enjoyment.

Oh, wait... This is the first time you have bothered to comment...? Skip all that then.

Perhaps, I could have kept you as a reader, if I had referred to different body parts? "The pirates brains, splattered wetly, against the ships inner hull...". Or, "Her bloody beheaded corpse, was flushed out into space, as her still living head watched..."

I'll bet, you wouldn't have blinked twice at that, Yah-Ta-Hey...

It's a sad, sick, depressing commentary on our society, when death and violence are considered acceptable. Yet, they are an everyday occurrence on our TVs, and in full view of those "young people" you mentioned. But to see or even read about the natural act of love, or the display of healthy, beautiful, body parts, is seen as "dirty". Or, dare I even say it..."sinful"?

I weep.

I feel, this all should have been said in private Yah-Ta-Hey, but I bow to your wishes.

From this point on, I am moving my story to a junk account on DeviantArt. The link/url is http://2xdox.deviantart.com/gallery/. This move has taken FAR more of my writing time than I would have liked but...

This is not an ideal solution however, and ANY input or suggestions on other sites, that would be a better alternative, would be very much appreciated.

P.S. I have marked all chapters of my story over there, as adult in nature. I do not know, if that will now require a DA membership, in order to view it or not. If anyone has ANY problems in accessing it there, please let me know, either there or here.

There you are wrong.... I come from a generation where literature did not have to have unnecessary gore or violence to make good reading. I weep for innocence lost

Our culture is a sick culture and it is egged on by a sick media . I weep for the lost spirit of the people

"I weep."

I weep because you have taken such a kneejerk reaction and still want to continue in your stylistic ways. You can write better stories without extraneous blood gore and sex in it... it is in you. Your moving off the board is unfathomable just because of my comment in trying to let you know that there is a reader out there that thought you went too far.

I do not wish to inflame any further so this is it... all I will say ... May you walk in the mocassins of the monster slayer and find peace. Yah-ta-hey

It would seem that you DO need to be registered with DeviantArt in order to view "Mature Content". :(

 Do we know how to clear a room or what!? }:]

This was not a a knee jerk reaction Yah-Ta-Hey. My post may have been but the move was not. It is something I been considering and have mentioned previously in this thread. My story and writing style, have grown beyond what should be posted here. I agree. In the context of this community, I went to far. Therefore, I must remove my post and place it else where.

Your lance was sharp and barbed Yah-Ta-Hey. And like Coyote, with his paw in a trap, I snapped at bit at the cause of the wound. Sorry. But I do not consider anything I have written to be porn. I have artwork on DevaintArt, which features nudes and naked pixies. They are not porn. I am old and tired of fighting this same old war. Let us agree to disagree.

You wish me to find peace. I cannot find peace, upon another warriors path. Nor do I wish to follow a path strewn with eggshells. I too, will say no more.

Seems to work ok except for the word-wrap.. I have to scroll several kilometres sideways to read each line.. (Firefox on Linux)
