To reply wether I survived; not exactly, there was a lot of cargo flying, and for some reason I had to press space.....

Didn't happen again, though...

Greetz,

you should adapt the OXP so that players can buy jellies as pets. or little baby ones as an add-on, they follow your ship and you can use an adapted pylon to draw off some Q-fuel to top up your tanks.

For some reason, hearing about them spoken of in the context of pets and then the idea of drawign Q-fuel off them.. Well, it seems sort of like getting a puppy or kitten and drawing off bone marrow samples from it every now and then to make soup stock..

But "bad people" might be capturing them and herding them with intent to somehow harvest fuel off them, which could be causing the risk of a huge Quirium cascade from many of them being confined to a small area of space at some secret hideout in an asteroid belt or something. That might make for a risky/exciting "player to the rescue" sort of adventure.

Do's run apace
And, thinking it to catch,
A jelly up do snatch.

Exactly.....horrible idea. StarJellys are as free as the solar wind that wafts them around, and thus it shall always be.
Glorious, proud, beautiful creatures plants things of the Cosmos, never to be sullied by spacefaring peoples' whims.

They might conceivably be farmed, and milked, like cows. Cows that might explode.

I believe you have singlehandedly revolutionised French cuisine. Well done.

v2.0 is now available.
There are now a wider variety of jellies to enjoy, from a tiny blue egg, through larvae up to fully grown examples.
Downloads can be had here.
See the Star Jellies here on SmivsTV.

Thanks go to Staer 9 for the models, and Fatleaf for pre-release testing.

Nice,

I really enjoy shooting star-jellys, especially when there are floating near a pirate cove....

Maybe someone should make a star-jelly attractor/herder OXP so the player can get them all in one place for a really good firework display.

Using an 'altered' Cargo Shepherd (essentially a small black hole), and declaring Star Jellies as cargopods, allowed me to discover that when Star Jellies touch, the effect is, er, dramatic. In a rapidly expanding blue sphere kind of way.

I was part of that firework display.
